The Program Manager School Based Health is responsible for developing, implementing, and evaluating educational programs and outreach initiatives related to the mobile school based health program. This role serves as a key liaison between the WVU Medicine and partnering county departments of education, identified schools, community organizations, and healthcare professionals. The coordinator will focus on enhancing knowledge, skills, and collaboration to optimize the care and access of health initiatives to students in the partner schools.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
EDUCATION, CERTIFICATION, AND/OR LICENSURE:

1. Current Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which services will be provided or current multi-state Registered Nurse license through the enhanced Nurse Licensure Compact (eNLC) OR Current Licensed Registered Dietician OR Licensed Respiratory Therapist
2. Obtain certification in Basic Life Support within 30 days of hire date
EXPERIENCE:
3.    Five (5) years of experience in a healthcare setting 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
EDUCATION, CERTIFICATION, AND/OR LICENSURE:

1.    Master’s degree in Public Health (MPH), Healthcare Administration (MHA), Education, Nursing, or a related field

EXPERIENCE:
2.    Experience working within a school-based health program, mobile health unit, or community health outreach setting
3.    Experience collaborating with K-12 school systems, Departments of Education, or youth-serving organizations
4.    Experience leading change management initiatives and implementing new programs across multiple sites or stakeholders
5.    Experience developing and delivering health education programs, training sessions, or community outreach initiatives

CORE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: The statements described here are intended to describe the general nature of work being performed by people assigned to this position.  They are not intended to be constructed as an all-inclusive list of all responsibilities and duties.  Other duties may be assigned.

1.    Provide leadership in the development and implementation of the mobile school based health program.
2.    Assists with the development, maintenance, and revision of school contracts in collaboration with school administrators, hospital administration, and legal.
3.    Responsible for change management and communication plans throughout the program’s lifecycle.
4.    Serve as the primary liaison between the program and professional associates, academic affiliates, clinical departments and discipline counterparts in the community and state programs.
5.    Develop and deliver educational presentations, workshops, and in-services to school employees and families  on topics related to health and wellness initiatives related to childhood and adolescents.
6.    Create and disseminate informational materials, including brochures, website content, newsletters, and other resources, to promote the mobile school based initiative.
7.    Serve as key clinical resource for area of responsibility.
8.    Prepare regular reports on school based program efforts, outcomes, and recommendations for future strategies
9.    Coordinate with clinical and operational leadership to ensure integration of mobile school-based services into broader care delivery models, including primary care, behavioral health, and specialty services.
10.    Track and analyze school based activities and their impact on referral volumes and relationships.
11.    Represent the program at relevant conferences, meetings, and community events
12.    Conduct needs assessments within partner schools and communities to identify gaps in services and inform program expansion strategies
