Job Description

Visa is seeking a Director to join the Visa People Business Partner team supporting the Solution Center based in Bogota. The People Business Partner team serves as an embedded strategic HR function, partnering directly with senior leaders to translate business objectives into people strategies that enable growth, high performance, and organizational capability. Operating within a dynamic, fast-paced multinational payments environment, the team drives a broad talent agenda spanning organizational design, talent management, succession planning, inclusion and diversity, compensation strategy, employee engagement, and workforce capability.

As a Director in this team, you will act as a trusted advisor to senior leaders across your assigned client groups, bringing a commercially grounded, talent-oriented perspective to the full spectrum of people priorities. You will work in close partnership with Centers of Excellence and fellow PBPs to deliver tailored people solutions, influence organizational decisions, and shape the culture and capabilities needed for the Bogota Solution Center to deliver against its business objectives.

This role offers meaningful exposure to senior leaders, significant scope to lead complex organizational and talent priorities end-to-end, and the opportunity to build deep expertise at the intersection of business strategy, organizational effectiveness, and people practice.

All roles require digital fluency, including the ability to work with emerging technologies such as Generative AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Microsoft Copilot) to support everyday work.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as a strategic People Business Partner and trusted advisor to senior leaders, bringing strong commercial understanding and organizational insight to talent, workforce, and business decisions.
  • Lead strategic workforce planning, talent reviews, succession planning, and leadership development, building strong and diverse pipelines for critical roles and future capabilities.
  • Drive organizational design and change management, advising leaders through organizational transformations, restructuring, workforce buildouts, and evolving business needs.
  • Partner with Centers of Excellence and fellow PBPs to develop and implement integrated solutions across compensation, retention, mobility, talent acquisition, learning and development, and employee relations.
  • Leverage workforce analytics and organizational insights, including attrition, engagement, and talent pipeline data, to identify trends, inform decisions, and assess the effectiveness of people strategies and programs.
  • Coach senior leaders and managers on performance management, leadership effectiveness, team development, and employee experience, reinforcing a culture of accountability and continuous development.
  • Champion inclusion and diversity, embedding equitable and inclusive practices into talent decisions, organizational design, succession, and leadership development.
  • Advance Visa’s Employer of Choice strategy within the technology talent market, strengthening the organization’s ability to attract, develop, engage, and retain critical capabilities.
  • Ensure effective management of applicable HR regulatory and legislative reporting requirements, while mentoring PBP colleagues and contributing to broader People team capability and best-practice sharing.

Visa requires at least 3 days in office, expectations of these days will be confirmed by your Hiring Manager.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

  • 10 or more years of work experience with a bachelor’s degree or at least 8 years of work experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g., Master's, MBA, JD, MD) or at least 3 years of work experience with a PhD.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 12 or more years of work experience with a bachelor’s degree; 8–10 years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g., Master’s, MBA, JD, MD); or 6+ years of work experience with a PhD.
  • Broad HR generalist and People Business Partner experience across multiple disciplines, including talent management, organizational development, employee relations, compensation strategy, and workforce planning within a complex, matrixed organization.
  • Demonstrated experience supporting Contact Center and/or Shared Services environments, with an understanding of the people, talent, workforce, and organizational dynamics associated with large-scale service operations.
  • Proven ability to partner with and advise senior leaders on talent strategy, organizational design, workforce planning, succession, leadership development, performance management, and organizational effectiveness.
  • Deep expertise in organizational design and change management, including experience supporting business transformation, organizational restructuring, workforce buildouts, stakeholder engagement, and leadership transitions.
  • Strong knowledge of talent management practices, including succession planning, high-potential development, performance calibration, and the development of diverse leadership pipelines across large employee populations.
  • Experience leveraging HR analytics and workforce data to identify trends, assess program effectiveness, generate actionable insights, and influence senior stakeholders on people and organizational decisions.
  • Experience working in a global technology company or similarly complex multinational environment, partnering effectively across geographically dispersed teams and influencing within a matrix without direct organizational authority.
  • Knowledge of Colombian employment regulations, HR compliance, and applicable reporting requirements, combined with proficiency in HR and productivity technologies such as Workday, ServiceNow, Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Copilot.
  • Bilingual: English & Spanish.
