Job Description Summary
We are looking for an experienced Logistics Manager to join our Regional Logistics Team in GSI Central Europe.In this role, you will be responsible for the overall logistics planning and logistics execution of regional EPC projects.
You will be responsible for a team (3-5) of Logistics managers and logistics coordinators, specialized in managing international, complex and time-critical movements of project equipment and heavy lift cargos. You are responsible for ensuring that the specified scope (package/material) is completely delivered to the required location, safely, at the right time, in good condition and within the allocated budget.

Roles and Responsibilities
The Region Logistics Manager is responsible for
- Establishing the logistics execution strategy during tendering of complex, international projects and executes accordingly
- Managing operationally the regional logistics team by setting clear priorities, controlling progress and supporting when issues arise
- Coordinating processes in alignment with the Region Procurement & Logistics Leader, the business line and beyond
- She/he is experienced in the execution of complex, high value projects
- She/he is experienced in working in international context and matrix organization
- She/he owns quality, cost, and delivery performance of the logistics scopes of our projects
- Monitoring logistics risk and opportunities and set-up mitigation plan accordingly.
- Is experienced in road freight, sea freight, air freight and multimodal, Dangerous goods, Heavy lifts & oversized loads Industrial packing and Import/export procedures
- Captures Lessons Learnt and establishes the learning for future way of working, implements continuous improvement actions.
Required Qualifications & Desired Characteristics
- Bachelor degree in Logistics & proven relevant experience in Turnkey business environment
- Very good Knowledge of EPC Project Logistics
- Proven knowledge of International Trade rules (Incoterms, Customs, Letter of Credit…)
- Good knowledge of Grid Solutions Projects and equipment
- Languages: fluent in written and spoken English.
- Decision making, problem solving, ability to independently resolve issues with difficult suppliers.
- Knowledge in scheduling/planning of large and complex projects.
- Behave according to GE Code of Ethics and Values.
Performance Measurement
- On-time delivery of specified shipment as per project needs
- Successful claim management against third parties
- Adherence to the global processes and IT Tools for transport sourcing and execution
- Works as per GEV’s Code of Conduct
- Objectives, Targets and Performance Measurements are defined on a yearly basis.
