Account Director – Leading Media Agency
Location: Central London / Hybrid
Team: Client Leadership/ Comms Planning
Clients: Premium Brands
We’re working with an award-winning international media agency looking for an experienced Account Director to join its Client Leadership/ Comms Planning team.
This is a key role leading the day-to-day relationship across two major clients across the UK market, overseeing integrated media planning and delivery, and helping drive growth across the accounts.
The opportunity
You’ll act as a senior point of contact for your clients, working closely with planning, strategy, activation and operations teams to ensure campaigns are effective, commercially sound and delivered to a high standard.
You’ll also have the opportunity to contribute to new business pitches, support junior team members and play a wider role within the agency’s Client Leadership team.
Key responsibilities
- Lead the day-to-day relationship across two high-profile clients
- Oversee omnichannel media planning and cross-team delivery
- Ensure campaigns are grounded in strong client, category and market understanding
- Monitor performance, reporting and campaign effectiveness
- Manage budgets and support the commercial health of your accounts
- Deliver clear, engaging client presentations and recommendations
- Contribute to pitches and new business opportunities
- Support and coach more junior members of the team
What we’re looking for
- Proven experience in a client-facing role within a media agency
- Strong understanding of the full media landscape, particularly digital
- Proven client and stakeholder management experience
- Confident presentation skills and gravitas in communication
- Experience managing multiple omnichannel campaigns
- Good understanding of measurement and effectiveness
- Proactive, commercially minded and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
You’re likely currently working as a Senior Account Manager or Account Director within a media agency, ideally with experience managing flagship or high-profile client accounts.
