Responsibilities
Position Purpose: The Global Data Distribution (GDD) team at StoneX is seeking a Senior Staff Engineer to lead and scale the operational excellence of our Global Data Distribution (GDD) platform. In this role, you’ll own critical infrastructure reliability, mentor Data Reliability engineers, manage DR readiness, and ensure platform compliance with SOX, internal audits, and incident governance. You will drive automation, observability, and incident lifecycle management across our Azure-based, hybrid-cloud data ecosystems—anchored by Databricks, Airflow, and cloud-native technologies. This role is a senior technical leadership position with partial people management, requiring a proactive, process-oriented mindset and deep expertise in cloud data platform.

Technology Ecosystem:
Core Development Skills
- Expert-level proficiency in C# and .NET Framework/.NET Core (.NET 6/7/8)
- Strong experience in Object-Oriented Design (OOD) and Design Patterns

Primary duties will include:
Technical Leadership
- Lead the design, development, and support of enterprise-scale Risk Technology platforms.
- Define technical architecture, coding standards, and engineering best practices.
- Drive modernization initiatives involving cloud migration, microservices, and event-driven architectures.
- Make architectural decisions that ensure high availability, scalability, and resilience.
Risk Platform Development
- Build and enhance applications supporting Market Risk, Credit Risk, Liquidity Risk, and Regulatory Reporting functions.
- Collaborate with Risk Managers, Quantitative Analysts, and Front Office stakeholders to implement risk calculation engines and reporting solutions.
- Deliver real-time and batch risk processing systems.
Team Leadership
- Lead and mentor a team of software engineers.

Qualifications
Preferred Experience
- 7–10+ years of software development experience.
- 3+ years leading teams in financial services, investment banking, capital markets, or trading organizations.
