About The Role
We are seeking a Finance Integration & Systems Manager to support the Group's acquisition integration programme and act as a key Finance subject matter expert for Deltek Vantagepoint. Reporting to the Head of Finance Operations, the role will support finance integrations, maintain core finance system controls, assist with system improvements and help standardise processes in line with the “SLR Way”.
The role will work closely with regional Finance teams, Group FP&A, Business Systems and acquired businesses to deliver a consistent, controlled and practical approach to finance systems, data migration, reporting and post go-live support.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as a Finance subject matter expert for Deltek Vantagepoint and core Group finance systems, supporting users with queries, troubleshooting and helpdesk tickets where required.
- Support acquisition integrations by coordinating finance activity across acquired entities, regional Finance teams, Group FP&A and Business Systems.
- Business partner with regional Finance Directors, Group FP&A and integration finance teams to understand finance processes, reporting and data requirements before, during and after integration.
- Conduct finance gap analysis, document current processes and support the implementation of standard “SLR Way” approaches.
- Prepare, review and validate migration data and templates, including reconciliations across trial balance, AP, AR, WIP, revenue, project financials and other relevant finance data.
- Work with Business Systems to reconcile data from source systems into destination systems and support testing, validation and sign-off for development and live migrations.
- Support the testing and validation of finance reporting before and after go-live to ensure migrated data is accurate, complete and fit for use.
- Maintain process maps, user guidance, training materials and controls documentation for key Group Finance processes.
- Support continuous improvement, user acceptance testing and implementation of Vantagepoint enhancements.
- Provide post go-live hypercare, training and ongoing support for integrated entities and Finance users.
- Support Group Finance with systems, data and integration reporting requirements during month-end, year-end and other key finance cycles.
Essential Skills
Skills & Experience Required
- Experience of Deltek Vantagepoint or a similar ERP/accounting system.
- Experience supporting finance systems implementations, integrations, migrations or process improvements.
- Strong understanding of core finance processes, controls, management accounting, reporting and reconciliations.
- Experience reviewing, validating and reconciling financial data across source and destination systems.
- Experience documenting processes, maintaining process maps and identifying practical improvement opportunities.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, including the ability to work with finance and non-finance stakeholders remotely.
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, with advanced Microsoft Excel capability.
- Ability to coordinate multiple workstreams and priorities in a multi-currency, multi-entity environment.
Preferred Skills
- Experience supporting acquisition integrations or finance transformation projects.
- Experience of finance project management, business analysis, controls design or process mapping.
- Experience of Power BI or other reporting tools.
- Accounting qualification, part-qualified accountant or relevant finance systems experience.
- Experience supporting finance system helpdesk tickets, user queries or system issue resolution.
