IT Infrastructure Manager - Enterprise IT & Infrastructure (Onsite, Karachi, PKR Salary)

Requirements:

• 8+ years of experience in IT infrastructure, systems, or network administration, including 3+ years in an IT Infrastructure Lead, Manager, or similar leadership role.
• Strong hands-on experience with Windows and Linux administration, along with strong knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, routing, switching, NAT, VPN, and LAN/WAN.
• Hands-on experience managing enterprise firewalls and network security, including experience with Fortinet, Palo Alto, Cisco, Sophos, pfSense, or similar firewall platforms.
• Experience with virtualization, backup, monitoring, and disaster recovery, including VMware, Hyper-V, or Proxmox.
• Experience with AWS, Tencent, Azure, or other cloud platforms.
• Experience with Active Directory, Group Policy, Microsoft 365, or Google Workspace.
• Exposure to infrastructure automation, monitoring, cybersecurity, and vulnerability management.
• Experience managing enterprise or multi-site IT infrastructure.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving capabilities, along with strong leadership, communication, and technical decision-making skills.
• Experience establishing and improving IT processes, standards, and documentation, with ITIL or similar IT service management experience.
• Experience managing IT vendors, service providers, and infrastructure procurement.
• Technical ownership beyond day-to-day IT support, with the ability to independently make infrastructure decisions and plan for future requirements.
• Proactive identification and resolution of infrastructure, security, and operational risks, with a focus on improving IT processes, standardization, security, reliability, and efficiency.
• Ability to balance business requirements, security, performance, and cost.
• Strong coordination with management, technical teams, vendors, and procurement.
• Hands-on leadership with accountability for overall infrastructure operations and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities:

• Lead the planning, management, and continuous improvement of enterprise IT infrastructure.
• Manage Windows and Linux servers, systems, virtualization, and IT services.
• Design and maintain network infrastructure, including LAN/WAN, routing, switching, VPNs, and internal traffic management.
• Manage firewalls, network security, access controls, and infrastructure security.
• Monitor infrastructure performance, availability, capacity, and security.
• Identify infrastructure gaps and implement improvements to reliability, security, and operational efficiency.
• Establish and maintain IT processes, SOPs, documentation, and operational standards.
• Manage backups, disaster recovery, business continuity, and infrastructure resilience.
• Lead troubleshooting and resolution of critical infrastructure, network, and system issues.
• Work with vendors and service providers for infrastructure and IT-related requirements.
• Support Procurement/Purchase with technical specifications, IT requirements, vendor evaluation, and recommendations for IT-related purchases.
• Plan infrastructure requirements, upgrades, capacity, and technology investments based on business needs.
