Job Description

The Billing & Pricing Specialist will be working in a fast-paced, high-volume environment cross-functionally with various departments of the organization to ensure timely and accurate invoicing of customer sales from various plants for North America Sales and client transactions for North America Finance.

In collaboration with our Sales/Sales Support, Customer Supply Chain, and Finance teams, the Billing & Pricing Specialist will facilitate the application of price lists, customer promotional programs, special discounts, and service-level agreements to ensure correct billing and pricing is applied to all customer/client orders. Expected to address billing/pricing inquiries and facilitate resolution to billing issues.

Job Responsibilities

  • Process daily invoicing activities for our customers by using the appropriate price lists and any customer specific contracts/programs system-generated sales orders.
  • Review invoices generated by our JDE ERP system and release for distribution to customers.
  • Process price adjustments, special promotions, sales and warranty credits for our customers/clients based on approved requests.
  • Engage the Sales, Customer Service and Finance teams as required to ensure correct pricing/charges are in place for the invoicing activities to enhance the customer/client experience.
  • Manage up front pricing in the system by obtaining price lists and program specifics from the Sales & Sales Support team.
  • Maintain operations by following policies and procedures; advising of opportunities for process improvement.
  • Update and maintain databases for customers and pricing data.
  • Assist in assessing ongoing performance of billing and pricing processes.
  • Assist and contribute to project implementations on an ongoing basis.

Qualifications

  • Associate degree is required; Bachelor’s degree is preferred.
  • Minimum 3+ years’ experience of relevant role; manufacturing or distribution environment is preferred.
  • Experience with JD Edwards/Oracle is an asset.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
  • Demonstrated time management skills, with ability to multi-task and prioritize.
  • Demonstrated attention to detail, professional attitude, and ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Self-starter with the ability to identify issues, take initiative on troubleshooting steps, and escalate them accordingly and appropriately.
  • Demonstrated ability to learn and become proficient with the JDE ERP system and Microsoft Office.
  • Highly effective Team Player showcasing ability to communicate well with both internal and external contacts professionally, via company-approved channels.
  • Up to 10% travel is required.
