Tradesmen International is immediately hiring experienced Welders for projects located in the Jacksonville, FL area. This is a first shift opportunity, and the pay rate is $28/hour based on experience and skill level. Job Scope:
- Read and interpret structural blueprints and fabrication drawings
- Layout, measure, fit, and assemble structural steel
- Work with beams, columns, channels, angles, plate, and other structural components
- Fit steel according to drawings and required measurements
- Measure and mark material for cutting and fabrication
- Use grinders, torches, saws, and other fabrication tools
- Tack weld components into position for final welding
- Check assemblies for proper dimensions, alignment, square, and fit
Requirements
- Previous structural steel fitting experience
- Strong blueprint and fabrication drawing reading skills
- Must be able to accurately read a tape measure
- Experience laying out and fitting structural steel
- Knowledge of welding symbols and fit-up requirements
