Student Worker (Driving Duties) – Campus Development Admin Support
The ideal candidate should be respectful, outgoing, energetic, self-driven, detail oriented, and skilled in developing a positive attitude in the workplace and adapting to changing priorities.
This job is ideal for someone with clerical skills and creativity and someone that presents a positive and professional image of the University and abides by GCU’s Mission. Admin Support will expand to other areas of the Facilities Department for jobs such as laminating signs, creating spreadsheets, open and delivery of interoffice mail.
Responsibilities:
- Provides administrative support to ensure efficient office operations.
- Maintains physical and digital Facilities Department files.
- Answers phone calls and assist the Service Center as needed.
- Signs and accepts incoming mail and packages.
- Responds to emails accordingly to Facilities managers and staff.
- Manage the Manager on Call wall calendar.
- Uses excel to update phone directories and campus directories.
- Uses Canva to generate easy signs and newsletter
- Uses excel to sort department distribution lists.
- Operates and Maintains office equipment, including printer and laminator.
- Uses Word Doc to edit and create documents.
- Works with outside vendor to order supplies.
- Able to lift 25-50 lbs. to lift water or paper to restock.
- Work Hours: 20 hours during school and 40 hours during break as per GCU policy.
- Drive golf cart to and from campus.

- Familiar with standard office platforms, such as Microsoft Office, excel, Canva.

- Must have a valid driver's license and clean driving record
Experience/Education:
Grand Canyon University is committed to a student first policy. Therefore, all applicants must meet the following eligibility requirements to be considered for student employment:
- Enrolled at GCU as a full-time student in a bachelor’s program or master’s program.
- Retain a 2.0 GPA as a Bachelor level student or a 3.0 GPA as a Master level student.
- Maintain good financial and academic (SAP) standing with the University.
You may be subject to termination if you fall below the minimum requirements.
Pay rate: Minimum Wage
