POSITION SUMMARY
The HR Coordinator supports the HR team across the full range of HR functions, from recruiting and onboarding to employee engagement, training coordination, and compliance. This role plays an active part in fostering a positive workplace culture, handling day-to-day HR administration with discretion and attention to detail, and contributing to process improvement initiatives across the department.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND DUTIES
Recruiting & Onboarding Support
- Assist in posting job openings on various job boards and the company website.
- Screen resumes and applications to identify qualified candidates.
- Schedule and coordinate interviews between candidates and hiring managers.
- Support the onboarding process for new hires, including preparing orientation materials.
HR Administration & Compliance
- Maintain and update the HR database with applicant and employee information.
- Help prepare and distribute HR-related documents and communications.
- Support the HR team in maintaining compliance with labor laws and regulations.
- Participate in payroll processing and benefits administration as needed.
- Maintain confidentiality of sensitive employee information at all times.
Employee Engagement & Process Improvement
- Assist in organizing employee training sessions and workshops.
- Participate in employee engagement initiatives and events.
- Assist in conducting employee surveys and compiling feedback.
- Contribute to HR projects and process improvement initiatives.
QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field; or equivalent experience.
- Prior experience or internship in an HR function preferred.
Required Skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), with strong Excel skills.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team environment; willingness to learn new processes and procedures.
- Strong critical thinking skills with the ability to develop creative solutions to difficult problems.
- Time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS & WORK ENVIRONMENT
Primarily office-based. Requires extended periods of sitting, frequent computer and phone use, and occasional lifting up to 25 lbs. Reasonable accommodations will be made for qualified individuals with disabilities. Noise level is typical of a business office environment.
