The Team:  

Transactions Data Stewardship team sits within the Global Markets Data Stewardship pillar of SPGI’s Enterprise Data Organisation (EDO). It encompasses M&A, Offerings, Spin-off, Buyback and Bankruptcy transactions, and is responsible for supporting variety of product initiatives involving vendor onboarding, data ingestion and data flow across Capital IQ, Capital IQ Pro, Equity Deals Database and 451 Research products. The team deals in management of data & procedures, along with running multiple checks on the database for various metrics. The team is also involved in resolving client issues, which are escalated from time to time. This is an IC role where individual should have exposure of working closely with data, product and technology teams. 

The Impact:  

• Collects predominantly in‑house transaction data and distributes it across multiple SPGI products via diverse delivery mechanisms, forming a critical workflow input for Investment Banking clients. 

• Integrates vendor feeds with self‑sourced data to increase client value, while driving Capital IQ Pro initiatives and supporting Xpressfeed to unlock cross‑sell opportunities. 

• Highly collaborative role aligning Data Management, Operations, Product/Support, and Agile tech teams to execute business strategies through customer‑centric projects. 

• Accountable for data accuracy/integrity, strict SLA & turnaround adherence, and maintaining audit‑ready, governance‑aligned documentation (data dictionaries, lineage, stewardship artifacts).

The role 

Responsibilities:  

 

• Lead end-to-end delivery of Offerings (Public Offerings, Shelf-Registrations and Rounds of Funding) data projects, ensuring seamless data ingestion, validation, and integration across products. 

• Translate business requirements into actionable user stories and drive agile execution with cross-functional teams. 

• Liaison with UAT, Scrum teams to ensure all the tasks meet accuracy standards apart from meeting the sprint deadlines. 

• Maintain high data quality and integrity through robust validation checks, lineage tracking, and adherence to governance standards. 

• Proactively identify and resolve data issues using SQL analysis and collaborate with Operations, Technology, and Vendors for sustainable solutions. 

• Support vendor data onboarding, quality assessments, and change management to ensure accurate and reliable data feeds. 

• Act as a subject matter expert for transaction data, addressing client queries and supporting audits and governance reviews. 

• Drive process improvements and efficiency through automation, data visualization, and continuous documentation updates. 

 

What We’re Looking For: 

Basic Qualifications: 

• Experience in data/business analysis and financial market data management. 

• Technical Skills: Proficiency in SQL for complex queries, data validation, and reconciliation; hands-on experience with data mining, analysis, visualization, and automation tools (Python, Excel, Power Platform); familiarity with BI dashboards, metadata management, and data lineage tools. 

• Project & Process Management: Proven ability to deliver large-scale, cross-functional projects using SAFe Agile methodologies; skilled in requirements gathering, documentation, and process standardization. 

• Collaboration & Communication: Effective communicator and team player, able to work independently and across cultures; experienced in stakeholder management, issue resolution, and supporting audits/governance. 

• Behavioural Competencies: Detail-oriented, analytical, and innovative problem-solver with strong ownership, accountability, and adaptability in dynamic, fast-paced environments; committed to continuous learning and digital acumen. 

• Work Flexibility: Willingness to work evening shifts and flexible hours to meet business needs. 

 

Preferred Qualifications: 

• Familiarity with Transactions (Offerings) dataset 

• Working knowledge of Tableau/Power BI and ability to translate complex data into clear insights. 

• Basic understanding of Python 

• Project Management/ SAFe Certification 

• UAT experience on CIQ and CIQ Pro (both backend and frontend) structures is desirable 

• Exposure to data standardisation, governance, enterprise platforms /content ecosystems, with a proactive, curious mindset and strong stakeholder engagement/prioritisation skills.
