At Bupa, our purpose is simple: helping people live longer, healthier, happier lives and making a better world.
As a Technology Delivery Lead, you'll play a key role in making that happen. You'll lead the technology delivery of mergers and acquisitions within our Diagnostics and Secondary Care business, helping newly acquired healthcare organisations successfully integrate into Bupa.
This is an opportunity to lead complex, high-profile programmes that directly support the growth of our healthcare services. You'll work across technology, change and business teams to deliver technology solutions that create value for colleagues, clinicians and customers. From shaping delivery roadmaps to ensuring successful implementation and business readiness, you'll have end-to-end ownership of initiatives that have a real impact on healthcare delivery.
We're looking for someone who enjoys bringing people together, navigating complexity and creating clarity. You'll lead through collaboration, helping teams deliver great outcomes while fostering a culture of continuous improvement, innovation and shared success.
How you’ll help us make health happen:
Lead the end-to-end delivery of technology workstreams supporting mergers and acquisitions across Health Services.
Oversee the integration of technology services, platforms and capabilities into Bupa following acquisitions.
Create and manage delivery plans, roadmaps and priorities, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
Work closely with Product Owners, business stakeholders and delivery teams to maintain a clear and prioritised backlog.
Coordinate multiple teams, dependencies and delivery partners to achieve successful outcomes.
Identify, manage and communicate risks, issues and dependencies, taking action to keep delivery on track.
Provide clear and transparent reporting on progress, budget, forecasts and key delivery metrics.
Build strong relationships across technology, operational and business teams.
Lead and coach teams through Agile ways of working, encouraging collaboration, accountability and continuous improvement.
Champion Agile practices including sprint planning, retrospectives, reviews and programme increment planning.
Support business case development and benefits tracking to make sure value is delivered and realised.
Ensure delivery activities align with governance, regulatory and data protection requirements.
Manage relationships with third-party suppliers and delivery partners to achieve shared goals.
Key Skills / Qualifications needed for this role:
We're looking for an experienced technology delivery professional who can successfully lead large-scale programmes in complex environments.
You'll bring:
Significant experience delivering complex IT projects and programmes using Agile, Waterfall and hybrid methodologies.
Experience leading multi-stream technology initiatives with multiple stakeholders and dependencies.
Strong knowledge of Agile frameworks, including Scrum and SAFe.
Experience delivering technology integration, transformation or mergers and acquisitions programmes.
Excellent stakeholder management skills with the ability to engage and influence senior leaders.
Strong commercial awareness, including budget management, forecasting and supplier management.
Experience managing risks, issues, dependencies and competing priorities.
The ability to lead, coach and inspire cross-functional teams.
Strong communication skills with the ability to translate technical information for different audiences.
Experience working with distributed teams and external delivery partners.
A good understanding of enterprise technology platforms, systems and integration approaches.
