Communications Coordinator, Mexico

As a Communications Coordinator within Global Communications, you will help deliver clear, accurate, and timely communications across 3M’s internal and external digital channels. In this role, you will coordinate content publishing, translation and localization, platform support, and communications workflows across channels such as the intranet, digital signage, email, employee advocacy, Viva Engage, websites, and other enterprise platforms. You will collaborate with communications teams, business partners, and technology stakeholders to manage requests, support users, maintain quality standards, and improve the digital communications experience for 3M employees and external audiences. 

The Impact You Will Make in this Role 

• Coordinate digital content publishing and platform support across 3M communication channels, including the intranet, digital signage, employee advocacy, Viva Engage, email, websites, and other enterprise platforms. Manage incoming requests, publish and update content, support site maintenance, and troubleshoot issues while following established standards and processes. 

• Enable timely, high-quality communications delivery by coordinating content requests, approvals, testing, scheduling, and publishing activities. Support email newsletters, distribution lists, digital signage, and other communication workflows while managing competing priorities and time-sensitive requests. 

• Coordinate translation and localization activities for communications materials, documents, digital assets, video subtitles, and emails in English, Spanish, and Portuguese. Help ensure localized content maintains the original meaning, format, and 3M tone while tracking requirements and deliverables. 

• Improve communications operations and user support by assisting with access requests, platform audits, user training, documentation, reporting, mailbox management, and process improvements. Partner with communications and technology stakeholders to resolve issues, strengthen content quality, and support Global Communications programs. 

Your Skills and Expertise 

To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M is looking for candidates who must have the following qualifications:  

• English languages skills must be advanced. 

• Education and experience: Bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited institution in Communications, Marketing, Information Technology, or a related field, combined with 2+ years of experience in communications support, content coordination, digital publishing, platform administration, or a related area. 

• Digital publishing and technology: Experience working with content management systems, intranet platforms or digital publishing tools, with the ability to learn and navigate enterprise communication platforms and workflows. 

• Communication and collaboration: Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clarify requirements, manage stakeholder requests and collaborate effectively across functions. 

• Translation and localization: Experience supporting translation workflows and coordinating localized communication materials. Professional fluency in Spanish is required.

Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include: 

• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple requests, follow established processes, maintain content accuracy and deliver high-quality work in a fast-paced environment. 

• Master’s degree in a relevant field 

• Experience with enterprise communications platforms such as Microsoft SharePoint, Sprinklr, Adobe, FirstUp, Scala, or other digital publishing platforms 

• Experience working for a large brand, agency, or consultancy 

• Project management or Agile certifications 

• Graphic design experience 

• Professional proficiency in Portuguese is preferred. 

Work location: 

• Work Location: This role follows an on-site working model, requiring the employee to work at least four days per week at the Santa Fe, Mexico location. 

• Travel: No travel is required, but there be occasional domestic or international travel if needed.
