Description
Requirements:
- 5+ years of network engineering experience in data center, enterprise, or service provider environments.
- Strong hands-on expertise in network switching and routing.
- Deep expertise in BGP, including peering, route policy, and complex troubleshooting.
- Solid knowledge of OSPF, MPLS, VXLAN, EVPN, and VRF.
- Hands-on experience with Cisco, Arista, Juniper, or NVIDIA Mellanox/Spectrum platforms.
- Working knowledge of firewalls, VPNs, QoS, and network security fundamentals.
- Strong troubleshooting skills across OSI Layers 1 through 7.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, IT, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- CCNP, CCIE, JNCIP, JNCIE, or an equivalent certification is strongly preferred.
- Experience with network automation and SDN using tools such as Ansible, Python, Nautobot, or NetBox.
- Experience with HPC and AI/GPU cluster networking is a strong plus but not mandatory.
- Familiarity with InfiniBand or RoCE (RoCEv2), including congestion control and NCCL tuning.
- Multi-site WAN and peering experience, including participation in Internet Exchanges (IX).
- Familiarity with NVIDIA Cumulus, SONiC, or other open networking stacks.
- Experience supporting SOC 2 or customer security audits.
Responsibilities:
- Configure, operate, and troubleshoot routers, switches, and firewalls across multivendor environments.
- Own dynamic routing using BGP and OSPF, including peering, route policy, and route redistribution.
- Design and maintain switching architectures, including VLANs, VRF, VXLAN, and EVPN.
- Implement secure connectivity using VPN, IPSec/GRE tunneling, ACLs, and QoS.
- Manage IP address space, DNS, DHCP, and network source-of-truth tooling.
- Automate configuration, provisioning, and compliance checks using Ansible and Python.
- Monitor network performance and lead troubleshooting across OSI Layers 1 through 7.
- Partner with the NOC on alerting, runbooks, and incident response within a 24/7 operation.
- Maintain accurate network documentation, diagrams, and operational runbooks.
- Support capacity planning, change management, and security and compliance reviews.
