Job Responsibilities
The candidate will join the Balance Sheet & NIM Team and support balance sheet management and financial performance initiatives across the Group.
Key responsibilities include:
- Perform financial analysis on balance sheet, funding, asset growth, and interest rate scenarios. Conduct sensitivity and scenario analysis to identify trends, risks, and opportunities and provide actionable insights to management.
- Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and integrity across various reports, forecasts, and analytical models.
- Support the development and maintenance of financial models to assess balance sheet performance, Net Interest Income (NII), Net Interest Margin (NIM), and profitability trends across business segments and geographies.
- Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and planning exercises by gathering data, validating assumptions, and supporting analyses of financial performance against targets.
- Prepare regular management reports, presentations, and dashboards for senior stakeholders, highlighting key drivers of financial performance and balance sheet movements.
- Partner with Treasury, Finance, Risk, and Business stakeholders to support planning and forecasting activities, perform ad hoc analyses, and facilitate decision-making.
- Monitor industry trends, market developments, competitor performance, and macroeconomic indicators to identify implications for the Group's balance sheet strategy and financial performance.
- Support the enhancement of analytical tools, reporting capabilities, and data infrastructure for balance sheet and profitability management. Participate in automation, data visualization, and AI-driven analytics initiatives where applicable.
Job Requirements
- Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, Mathematics, Statistics, Data Science or a related discipline.
- At least 3 years of relevant experience in banking, treasury finance, financial planning & analysis, ALM, balance sheet management, strategy, or related functions.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint, with strong ability to analyze and navigate datasets, develop automated spreadsheets, and create refreshable reporting tools that improve efficiency and accuracy.
- Strong proficiency in leveraging AI tools such as Microsoft Copilot to enhance productivity, streamline workflows, and transform complex business data into actionable insights for decision-making.
- Understanding of banking products, Net Interest Income (NII), Net Interest Margin (NIM), and key balance sheet drivers. Experience in financial modelling, forecasting, budgeting, and management reporting is an added advantage.
- Self-motivated, proactive, and detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across Finance, Treasury, Risk, and Business teams.
Familiarity with data analytics and coding tools such as Power BI, Python, and SQL is advantageous.
