Description

The Role

Wolf is looking for a Partnerships & Business Operations Manager to help turn important partnerships and company initiatives into products and experiences people can actually play.

Signing a partnership is only the beginning. Teams need to align, decisions need to get made, assets and approvals need to arrive, and product, engineering, creative, commercial, and partner work all need to stay connected. Your job is to help make that happen.

You’ll work directly with Wolf’s founders and across Partnerships, Product, Engineering, Creative, Marketing, Legal, and external partner teams. You’ll help create structure around ambiguous work, turn conversations into action, and make sure important details don’t fall through the cracks.

You’ll sit close to the center of the business, seeing firsthand how partnerships become products and how product, technology, creative, commercial, and audience strategy come together. Some days that means thinking through a new opportunity; others, it means tracking down a missing asset or decision blocking a launch.

Wolf is still early, and the partnerships, products, and ways we operate are being built today. You’ll start with defined pieces of important initiatives and take on increasingly meaningful ownership as you demonstrate judgment, reliability, and follow-through.

What You’ll Do

Turn Partnerships Into Products

  • Help move partnerships from agreement or idea through development, launch, and expansion.
  • Turn partner conversations and commitments into clear owners, actions, and next steps.
  • Keep track of deliverables, assets, approvals, timelines, and dependencies across Wolf and partner teams.
  • Prepare for partner meetings, capture decisions, and make sure follow-ups happen.
  • Build strong relationships with partner teams and grow into a trusted day-to-day counterpart.

Drive Cross-Functional Execution

  • Help build and manage plans for partner initiatives, products, and launches.
  • Coordinate across Product, Engineering, Creative, Marketing, and external teams.
  • Keep owners, milestones, decisions, and dependencies organized and visible.
  • Notice when something is blocked, unclear, or falling behind and help get it resolved.
  • Make sure decisions turn into action and that important details don’t fall through the cracks.
  • Adapt as priorities, requirements, and timelines change.

Learn What Works

  • Help define what success looks like for launches and partner initiatives.
  • Gather performance data, partner feedback, and lessons from what we ship.
  • Help the team understand what worked, what didn’t, and what we should do differently next time.
  • Carry lessons from one partnership or launch into the next.
  • Help identify opportunities to grow successful partnerships.

Help Build the Machine

  • Notice recurring problems, inefficiencies, and places where ownership is unclear.
  • Help create simple playbooks, workflows, templates, and tools that make execution easier.
  • Improve how Wolf keeps track of commitments, decisions, and next steps.
  • Make the team more organized and effective without adding unnecessary processes.
  • Take on increasingly ambiguous and important projects as you learn the business and earn trust.

What Success Looks Like

90 days in:

  • A strong understanding of Wolf’s partnerships, products, teams, and how work moves from idea to launch.
  • Partner initiatives where you’ve kept deliverables, decisions, and owners organized and moving.
  • Internal and external relationships where people increasingly trust you to follow through and get the right people aligned.

6 months in:

  • A partner initiative or launch where you’ve independently driven meaningful pieces of the work from planning through execution.
  • A complex project where you identified a blocker, dependency, or missing decision early and helped resolve it.
  • A process, tool, or workflow you’ve improved to make partnership execution more effective.

By the end of your first year:

  • A major partner product or initiative you helped take from idea to launch.
  • A partner relationship where you’ve become a trusted operating counterpart and helped identify opportunities for continued growth.
  • Lessons, processes, or playbooks from your work that have materially improved how Wolf executes future partnerships and launches.

The ultimate measure is simple: Wolf should be able to take on more ambitious work with more partners because you’re part of the team.

Who We’re Looking For

We care more about how you think, work, and learn than about a specific career path. You’re likely to thrive here if:

  • You are exceptionally organized. You keep track of details, commitments, and deadlines, and rarely let things fall through the cracks.
  • You learn quickly. You’re curious, ask good questions, and can get up to speed on unfamiliar products, technologies, and business problems.
  • You’re great with people. You communicate clearly, build relationships easily, and are comfortable working with different personalities and functions.
  • You turn ambiguity into action. When something isn’t clearly defined, your instinct is to figure out what’s needed and what should happen next.
  • You follow through. If you say you’ll do something, people can trust that it will get done.
  • You’re a clear communicator. You can listen to a complicated conversation and pull out the important decisions, questions, and next steps.
  • You notice things. Missing information, unclear ownership, potential problems, and loose ends tend to stand out to you.
  • You have good judgment—and want to develop more of it. You’re comfortable making progress independently but know when to ask questions or pull someone in.
  • You’re willing to do whatever the work requires. You’re as comfortable thinking through a bigger problem as you are tracking down a missing asset or following up on an overdue decision.
  • You want responsibility. You’re early in your career and excited by the opportunity to learn quickly, prove yourself, and earn increasingly significant ownership.

This could be a great role for someone with roughly 2-5 years of experience, but we care more about capability, trajectory, and demonstrated ownership than tenure.

Relevant backgrounds might include:

  • Business or startup operations
  • Strategy & operations
  • Partnerships
  • Program or project management
  • Product operations
  • Consulting
  • Implementation or solutions
  • Media, entertainment, gaming, or technology

We’re especially interested in people who have taken ownership of something and made it happen—whether that means shipping a cross-functional project, coordinating internal and external stakeholders, building a useful process or system, or becoming the person a team relied on to keep complicated work moving.

Compensation: $35-45/hour, depending on experience

This role starts as a 90-day contract, at which point we can assess mutual fit and discuss conversion to a full-time role with benefits.
