 ROLE OVERVIEW

As a Beauty Advisor at Be Aveda Institutes, you are at the heart of the student and guest experience. Your role combines exceptional guest service with a focus on product knowledge education, driving retail sales, and supporting hands-on learning opportunities for students. Every interaction you have with guests and students contributes to the mission of educating and inspiring the next generation of beauty professionals.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE ROLE & “OUR WHY”

· Provide guests with the luxury experience using the Aveda Guest Service Cycle, including rituals of renewal

o Our why: The Aveda point of difference is the care we provide with every student and guest, centered around education.

· Drive retail sales by maintaining a walk-in Average Unit Sale (AUS) of $55 or more

o Our why: Product education elevates the guest experience while reinforcing the students’ learning and confidence with products.

· Manage incoming call volume to exceed 95% call handling

o Our why: Our first impression with guests is often over the phone. Prompt, professional service ensures we capture every opportunity to enhance students’ hands-on experiences.

· Perform smart booking and complete call confirmations to maximize appointment availability

o Our why: Student hands-on experience is dependent on maximizing guest appointments and availability.

· Redirect students when needed to complete the home care ritual with three products educated on during the guest’s service

o Our why: Enhances the educational experience for students and mentors with product knowledge while maintaining the Aveda standard.

· Ensure the retail experience center is always guest-ready

o Our why: A clean and welcoming environment is critical for a strong educational experience.

PROFESSIONAL STANDARDS

Dress Code Expectations:

• All black, professional attire that reflects the Aveda brand
• Maintain clean, styled hair, subtle makeup, and professional grooming. Remember – we are in the beauty      industry, we must hold ourselves to a high standard that reflects such.
• Nametag must be worn at all times and should remain clean 

Minimum Requirements:

• Due to our commitment to the environment, a strong alignment to the Aveda mission is.
• One year experience in retail or guest services, cosmetic experience
• Excellent verbal and written communication
• Exceptional organizational
• Ability to attend and satisfactorily complete all company education as
• Ability to work retail hours including weekends, holidays and special events as needed.
• Computer experience including retail point of sale.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

There is no supervisory responsibility for this position.
