Help Keep Essential Services Flowing
Service Stream is seeking a motivated and safety-focused Water & Sewer Maintenance Workers to join our Utilities team in Epping.
This is an exciting opportunity to work on critical water and wastewater infrastructure that supports local communities every day. You'll be responsible for delivering planned and reactive maintenance, emergency response works, and minor projects across Melbourne's water and sewer networks.
Working as part of a supportive field team, you'll operate specialised equipment, respond to network issues, and help ensure the safe and reliable delivery of essential services.

About the Role
Reporting to the Field Supervisor Water & Sewer, you will safely deliver the field-based aspects of planned, preventative, reactive, and emergency maintenance works while ensuring quality, safety, and customer service standards are achieved.
Key Responsibilities
- Undertake planned, preventative, and reactive maintenance activities
- Respond to emergency water and sewer network issues
- Complete minor maintenance and improvement projects
- Maintain accurate work records, timesheets, asset information, and condition reporting
- Ensure compliance with company procedures and safety requirements
- Work collaboratively within a flexible multidisciplinary team
- Deliver positive customer and community outcomes
Equipment You May Operate
- Jetting trucks and associated equipment
- Hydro excavation trailers and equipment
- Valve maintenance trailers and equipment
- Water maintenance trucks
- Sewer maintenance trucks
- Single-person response and repair vehicles
- Tipper trucks and associated equipment
About You
To be successful in this role, you will ideally possess:
- Current Driver's Licence (MR or HR Licence highly regarded)
- Strong commitment to workplace safety
- Ability to work effectively within a team environment
- Strong customer service and community focus
- Understanding of Risk Assessments and Safe Work Method Statements (SWMS)
- Willingness to learn and undertake further training
