Project Title

Procurement Analytics and Supplier Performance Improvement

Project Description

The intern will undertake a structured project within the Global Procurement team, gaining practical exposure to strategic sourcing, supplier management, procurement analytics, and business process improvement.

Working under the guidance of experienced procurement professionals, the intern will examine procurement and supplier data, conduct market and supplier research, and develop analytical outputs that inform sourcing and category-management decisions.

The project will provide opportunities to collaborate with stakeholders from Facilities, Engineering, Finance, Operations, and Global Procurement. The intern will also gain an understanding of procurement governance, supplier evaluation, cost analysis, and digital ways of working in a global business environment.

Objective of the Project

• Develop an understanding of strategic sourcing, supplier management, and procurement governance.
• Apply analytical techniques to procurement, spend, cost, and supplier-performance data.
• Identify insights and improvement opportunities through structured research and data analysis.
• Develop practical recommendations that strengthen procurement decision-making and process efficiency.

Project Scope

• Analyze procurement, spend, cost, and supplier-performance data to identify trends, risks, and improvement opportunities.
• Conduct market research and supplier benchmarking for selected procurement categories.
• Contribute to defined sourcing projects through data gathering, commercial analysis, and documentation.
• Develop dashboards, reports, or analytical tools that communicate procurement insights clearly.
• Evaluate selected procurement processes and recommend opportunities for standardization, automation, or improved efficiency.

Skillsets Required

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Excel and presentation tools; exposure to Power BI, Structured Query Language, Python, or similar analytical tools is advantageous.
• Ability to organize information, interpret data, and communicate findings clearly.
• Interest in procurement, supply chain management, strategic sourcing, supplier management, or business operations.
• Familiarity with AI-enabled tools or workflows for responsible research, data exploration, or productivity is advantageous but not required.

Course of Interest

The ideal candidate should be pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Data Analytics, Computer Science, Information Systems, Economics, or a related discipline.

Duration of Period

The ideal candidate should be able to commit to a full-time internship period of 5 months from Jan to May 2027.
