Hourly or Salaried: Salaried

Hours Per Week: Full-time; 40 hours

Hybrid or On Site: Hybrid 

Language proficiency: English. Proficiency/familiarity with another language is a plus but not required.

Schedule: Mon-Fri; weekends/evenings as needed


POSITION OVERVIEW: The Stewardship Specialist is responsible for creating and executing communications and events that bring ASI’s mission, programs, and impact alive for donors, members, and prospects. 


ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Coordinate and implement annual development communications schedule
  • Draft all donor and member stewardship communications, including acknowledgments and member magazine and annual report copy
  • Support CEO, Director of Development, and Gifts Officer in individual donor communication, including gift proposals and impact reports
  • Assist with grant proposals and reports to government, corporate, and foundation funders
  • Plan and execute approximately six annual events for member and donor cultivation and stewardship
  • Partner with programs team to develop donor travel program
  • Work with exhibition and marketing teams to ensure accurate donor/funder recognition in all collateral
  • Maintain and update ASI’s donor and member web pages
  • Edit and proofread content as needed

Requirements

REQUIRED

  • Three years of work experience in communications, marketing, development, or a related field, with demonstrated experience developing and executing nonprofit fundraising communications
  • Excellent writing and editing skills, and strong verbal communication skills
  • Solid organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities with close attention to detail
  • Ability to work non-traditional work hours as needed for donor programming and events, including occasional weekends
  • Proficient using MS Office including Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.


PREFERRED

  • Event coordination experience 
  • Experience working in Blackbaud CRM (Altru or Raiser’s Edge)
  • Interest in Swedish/Scandinavian cultures
