You help develop a comprehensive view of what great looks like in retail enterprises for our categories. You create market-leading capabilities in managing space, range and distribution to maximize category growth throughout all retail channels and environments and track and measure performance of space against forecast plans.
How you will contribute
You will:
- Deliver our Mondelēz International Perfect Store agenda identifying relevant growth potentials via customer & shopper analysis and implement/develop actionable measures
- Design Picture of Success for our key customers in regard of shelf, secondary placement and promotion efficiency
- Lead Category Management projects with key customers
- Equip Sales Teams with relevant materials and tools and train/steer them to efficiently execute perfect store related topics. Support development of annual trade negotiations.
- Develop plans and ideas to drive and improve future business of Mondelēz International in light of perfect store related topics
- Close collaboration with multiple functions internally and external stakeholders

What you need to know about this position:
Strategy & Planning
- Implement and champion the Perfect Store framework across all assigned retail accounts, ensuring alignment with global and regional standards.
- Employ the principles of Category Management with regards to range assortment, channel specific ranges, promotions, pricing, display/merchandise, replenishment and effective sales drivers to grow in the marketplace.
- Develop, maintain, and continuously improve Pictures of Success (including planograms) that are aligned to both the Perfect Store and Category strategies, relevant to field teams, and designed to deliver targeted Perfect Store KPIs.
- Lead the development and rollout of store segmentation models to prioritize execution efforts based on store potential and strategic importance.
Execution & Monitoring
- Conduct regular store audits and assessments to measure compliance with Perfect Store KPIs (availability, visibility, shelf share, pricing, and promotions).
- Leverage image recognition technology and data analytics tools to monitor in-store execution and generate actionable insights for the sales team.
- Identify execution gaps and opportunities at store level and collaborate with field teams to implement corrective actions swiftly.
- Support the Sales and Category teams to ensure that in-store pricing is consistent with the validated pricing strategy and within recommended retail price corridors.
- Coordinate with Supply Chain to ensure on-shelf availability targets are met, and out-of-stock occurrences are minimized across priority SKUs.
Stakeholder Engagement & Capability Building
- Work with field teams to identify solutions to leverage opportunities to deliver the Perfect Store agenda and sales tools, display solutions, etc.
- Influence the field teams to use tracking tools (e.g. Trax) effectively to deliver accurate reports.
- Train and coach field sales teams and merchandising staff on Perfect Store standards, execution guidelines, and best-in-class retail practices.
- Create ideas to represent the brand in the best possible outlook in front of consumers.
Reporting & Insights
- Track and report on Perfect Store scorecard performance, providing regular updates on execution ROI and its impact on category P&L.
- Provide retail execution intelligence and competitive insights to support strategic decision-making by senior leadership.
- Stay informed of retail execution best practices, competitor activities, and emerging technologies in store digitization and shopper analytics.
- Drive continuous improvement by sharing best practices, conducting post-activation reviews, and building a library of winning execution playbooks.
Key Tools for Tracking Perfect Store Implementation
- Image Recognition Platforms (e.g., Trax, vispera etc.) — automated shelf monitoring and planogram compliance verification through in-store photo capture.
- Sales Force Automation (SFA) Tools — order management, route planning, and call reporting for field representatives.
- Business Intelligence & Analytics (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, Nielsen, Shoprite (REX), PNP basket data and Dataorbis) — data visualization and performance tracking against Perfect Store scorecards.
- Planogram Management Software (e.g., Blue Yonder, Dotactiv etc.) — shelf layout design, space planning, and compliance measurement.
What extra ingredients you will bring:
- Proven track record of delivering results in retail execution or trade marketing.
- A clear understanding of shopper behavior, retail dynamics, and in-store decision-making.
- Ability to work autonomously, influence cross-functional stakeholders, and drive accountability in the field.
- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in data interpretation, store audit tools, and image recognition platforms.
- Ability to translate data into compelling stories and present insights to senior stakeholders in a convincing manner.
- Project management skills with the ability to manage multiple initiatives from design to completion.
Education / Certifications:
- A bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Commerce, or a related field from a recognized tertiary institution.
Job specific requirements:
- At least 3-5 years working experience in FMCG sales, trade marketing, or retail execution, with at least 1-2 years in a Perfect Store, field execution, or similar role.
