Why this role matters
To ensure a safe, healthy, and compliant working environment by implementing and continuously improving the organisation’s health and safety management systems. The role is responsible for identifying and mitigating workplace risks, promoting a strong safety culture, ensuring compliance with applicable legislation and internal standards, and supporting employees and management in maintaining high health and safety standards.
The role is based in our Limassol office, Cyprus. In case of relocation, we offer full relocation support for you and your family to make your move smooth and worry-free.
What you'll actually do
- Ensure compliance with applicable health and safety legislation, regulations, company policies, and relevant industry standards; maintain required documentation, records, and certifications.
- Conduct regular workplace inspections, risk assessments, and audits; identify hazards and implement appropriate corrective and preventive actions.
- Monitor, record, and investigate accidents, incidents, near misses, and unsafe conditions; identify root causes and ensure timely implementation and follow-up of corrective actions.
- Develop and deliver health and safety training, inductions, toolbox talks, and awareness initiatives to ensure employees understand their responsibilities and safe working practices.
- Monitor health and safety performance, prepare regular reports and recommendations for management, and support initiatives aimed at improving safety culture and reducing workplace risks.
Who we’re looking for
- Degree or professional qualification in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Health, Engineering, or a related field; relevant professional certification is an advantage.
- 7+ years of proven experience in a Health & Safety role, preferably within a corporate, industrial, construction, hospitality, facilities, or other operational environment.
- Good knowledge of occupational health and safety legislation, risk assessment methodologies, incident investigation, emergency preparedness, and workplace safety standards.
- Strong analytical, organisational, communication, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to influence employees and managers and promote a proactive safety culture.
- Proactive, detail-oriented, accountable, and confident in identifying unsafe practices and challenging non-compliance while maintaining constructive working relationships.
- Regular collaboration with key stakeholders.
- Interaction with external vendors.
