Technical Excellence:

• Produces clear design documentation using the architectural principles.
• Builds systems with solid foundations in performance, resilience, extensibility, and security
• Applies testing strategies that improve deployment confidence
• Makes pragmatic trade-offs between speed, quality, and maintainability within defined constraints.
• Demonstrates strong code quality and provides constructive, actionable feedback within the team.
• Introduces small-scale improvements to patterns, tools, or techniques within their immediate team.
• Solves moderately complex technical problems with pragmatic, well-reasoned solutions.
• Shares technical knowledge with peers and contributes to team-level practices.

Operational Excellence:

• Takes responsibility for the operational health of components within their scope.

• Delivery is predictable with low change failure rates.
• Technical solutions meet expected reliability, cost, and time-to-market goals.

Leadership & Collaboration:

• Communicates technical topics clearly to engineers and immediate stakeholders.
• Synthesizes peers' input to make pragmatic recommendations.
• Builds strong working relationships within the team and with close cross-team partners.
• Demonstrates accountability, ownership, and bias for action.
• Provides mentorship and guidance to less-experienced engineers through code reviews and pair programming.
• Stakeholders trust their technical recommendations

Qualifications:

• Typically 4+ years of professional software engineering experience
• Proven delivery of large complex global multi-tenant production systems across multiple components
• Experience translating ambiguous requirements into scalable solutions
• Experience working in Agile cross-functional product development teams

Technical Skills:

• Strong proficiency in C# (.NET), JavaScript/TypeScript (React), and SQL (PostgreSQL).
• Strong system design skills, including SOLID, design patterns, API design, DDD, and event-driven architectures.
• Experience designing and building modern web applications with React, Vite, REST, and GraphQL.
• Experience building and operating cloud-native applications on AWS (EC2, Lambda, S3, SNS, SQS, Elastic Beanstalk), with a focus on reliability and observability.
• Champions testing, DevSecOps, CI/CD (GitHub Actions), and Secure SDLC practices.
• Proficient with observability and analytics tools such as Splunk and Mixpanel.
• Proficiency with AI-assisted development using GitHub Copilot, Amazon Bedrock, and agentic AI workflows.
