Reports To: Facilities Manager
FLSA Classification: Non-exempt
Full-Time/Part-Time Status: Full-time, Monday-Friday 1pm to 9:30pm
Regular/Temporary employee: Regular
Represented: Unrepresented Hourly
Salary: Framework C, Step 31 Range: $28.26 - $32.47. Salary is commensurate with experience.

JOB FUNCTION/ DESCRIPTION:
High Tech High is seeking a Custodial Supervisor to oversee the evening and night time shift upkeep operations of HTH facilities in its central office in San Diego, CA (Point Loma). The position will be starting immediately. Candidates should have knowledge of cleaning procedures, chemicals, and health and safety regulations. This position should possess strong managerial and leadership skills.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Be present onsite for evening shifts and rotate between the three campuses
· Develop and maintain procedures and ensure compliance
· Conduct inspections of organization facilities to ensure safety and cleanliness
· Assign workload and duties and supervise maintenance staff
· Monitor equipment inventory and order supplies as needed
· Conduct safety training meetings with maintenance staff and ensure all custodians have steel toe boots, uniform shirts and any safety equipment they request to complete their duties
· Fill in for custodians who are sick or on vacation and cover their buildings
· Track and approve time sheets of maintenance staff and keep track of sick and vacation days
· Keep track of any disciplinary actions as they relate to maintenance staff
· Assist with hiring process of maintenance staff - place adds, conduct interviews, ensure completion of new hire paperwork
· Monitor expenses, maintain maintenance budget, and process invoices associated with custodian supplies
· Prepare and coordinate deep cleaning schedule for all breaks including Summer
· Coordinate and handle hazardous and other waste removal
KNOWLEDGE AND QUALIFICATIONS:
· Proven experience in maintenance manager role
· Experience in planning maintenance operations
· Knowledge of facilities machines and equipment
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to maintain communication with facilities department and staff
· Ability to keep track of and report activity
· Outstanding organizational and leadership skills
· High school diploma or equivalent
· Valid Certified Maintenance Manager (CMM) a plus
· Bilingual and able to read, write and speak Spanish proficiently a plus
WORKING CONDITIONS:
Environment-
· Indoor and outdoor setting
· Traveling to and from Point Loma, North County, and Chula Vista campuses
· May work some weekends and evenings
Physical Requirements-
· Hearing and speaking to exchange information
· Seeing to perform assigned duties
· Sitting or standing for extended periods of time
· Kneeling, bending at the waist, and reaching overhead, above the shoulders and horizontally, to retrieve and store files and supplies
· Lifting requirement of 50lbs.
