Job Description

As a Security Guard Armed Patrol in Lawrence, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Armed Security Officer at a government location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and respond to security-related concerns with professionalism. You will provide exceptional customer service, communicate clearly with staff and visitors, and support a welcoming environment. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to students, staff, visitors, and community members by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established protocols and notifying appropriate personnel and/or emergency responders.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of assigned buildings, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized access and identify unusual activity.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify authorization when required, and report security-related concerns or policy violations to site leadership.
• Prepare accurate reports and maintain required documentation regarding incidents, patrols, observations, and other security-related activities.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess a concealed carry weapons permit.
• Possess 3+ years of combined law enforcement, military, or security-related experience or a college degree.
• Possess 1+ years of law enforcement experience, 2+ years of security-related supervisor or manager experience, or 3+ years of security-related experience.
• Possess an armed guard card or license.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
