Job Description Summary
About This RoleQuality is the foundation of trust — and in the energy industry, trust powers everything. As a Lead Supplier Quality System Management Specialist at GE Vernova, you will own the systems, processes, and tools that keep our Hydro supply chain performing to the highest standards. Your work directly shapes how we monitor, report, and continuously improve supplier quality across the business.
This is a role for someone who finds meaning in building structures that others rely on — and who wants to see the real-world impact of getting quality right.
Job Description
What You'll Do
Define, update, and deploy Supplier Quality processes and work instructions — and lead the training and follow-up that makes them stick.
Monitor and report on Supplier Quality key performance indicators (KPIs), ensuring data is visible, accurate, and actionable.
Manage Cost of Quality (CoQ) and Value-Based Buying (VBB) activities within the sourcing function.
Drive Daily Management disciplines through dashboards and action trackers that keep teams focused and accountable.
Serve as the go-to expert for digital tools and systems within the Supplier Quality organization.
Support Hydro Supplier Quality teams during Corporate and external audits, ensuring readiness and compliance.
Partner with cross-functional teams to optimize interfaces and streamline quality processes end to end.
Who You Are
You are a detail-oriented quality professional who brings both technical rigor and collaborative instincts — someone who can build a system, explain it clearly, and bring a team along with you.
Required
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree from an accredited university or college.
Proven experience in a Supplier Quality, Quality Management Systems (QMS), or Supply Chain Quality role within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
Hands-on experience in the quality domain, including performance monitoring, reporting, and process improvement.
Six Sigma certification or an equivalent quality certification (e.g., Certified Quality Engineer (CQE), ISO Lead Auditor).
Strong written and verbal communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to work across functions and influence without authority.
Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills, with a process-oriented and proactive approach to issue ownership.
Preferred
Experience in the energy, power generation, or hydro sector.
Knowledge of CoQ frameworks or VBB methodologies.
Experience with digital quality tools or enterprise systems (e.g., SAP, Salesforce, or equivalent).
Familiarity with audit support processes — both internal and external.
Demonstrated change management experience in a cross-functional environment.
