Lead Sourcing Specialist - Supplier Quality Engineering

Drive quality for assigned suppliers, including quality plan implementation. Select suppliers through qualification processes. Own supplier results, drive improvements utilizing supplier scorecards. Own supplier audits, ensuring compliance, and driving improvement plans where needed. In-depth understanding of key business drivers; uses this understanding to accomplish own work. In-depth understanding of how work of own team integrates with other teams and contributes to the area.

Essential responsibilities:

• Drive a strong EHS culture throughout the supply base and within the team

• Identify and lead supplier development programs to continuously improve supplier performance

• Develop and execute audit schedules for both quality and EHS

• Supervise detailed Root Cause Analysis when issues arise, drive preventative actions that ensure issues don’t re-occur

• Establish and monitor the supplier qualifications program

• Work closely with Supplier Quality engineer to resolve the issues

• Identify and execute process simplification ideas to improve the efficiency

• Experienced in casting, forging, welding, machining & NDT process and able to perform inspections.

 

Qualification

• Degree/Diploma in a technical/Engineering subject

• 5+ years’ experience in Engineering/Quality/Project

• Ability to read technical documents/drawings/specifications

• Strong process/products/project experience on Steam Turbine/Turbo Generator and welding fabrication

• NDT level-2 in UT, MT, PT & VT as per ISO9217
