Description
Design has the ability to empower ideas and connect people. At Baskervill, we take that seriously—and we have a lot of fun doing it.
We’re a multidisciplinary design firm with a growing global footprint and more than a century of experience shaping some of the country’s most influential spaces—from university campuses and civic hubs to luxury resorts and Fortune 500 workplaces. Our Workplace Studio is growing, and we’re looking for an Interior Designer who’s ready to get hands-on across a range of project types and scales.
In this role, you’ll flex your creativity, technical expertise, and strategic planning across workplace environments ranging from neighborhood nonprofits to Fortune 500 companies. It’s a position built for someone who enjoys variety, takes ownership of their work, and wants to be involved in the full arc of a project—from early ideation to built results.
What you’ll be doing:
No two days are exactly the same, but you can count on a few constants. Including:
- Responsible for the design and production of interior design projects from concept through construction administration using Revit
- Works closely with junior staff as a mentor and resource, providing guidance, technical expertise, and code-related support while helping maintain the design intent throughout all project phases
- Serves as the primary client contact on small to mid-sized projects and builds strong client relationships through effective communication and presentations
- Coordinates project activities with consultants, in-house engineers, and other team members to ensure successful project delivery
- Participates in all phases of the design process, from programming through construction administration
- Demonstrates a proactive commitment to professional growth and development
About you:
A great match for our team is someone who has:
- A bachelor’s or master’s degree in interior design from a CIDA accredited program
- 8+ years of professional interior design experience
- NCIDQ certification preferred
- Proficiency in Revit
- Knowledge and aptitude in other design software platforms preferred, including but not limited to: SketchUp, Enscape, Adobe Creative Suite, Miro, and Office 365
- A desire to work collaboratively with team members in a constructive and engaged manner
- Experience managing/mentoring junior staff
- A willingness to travel as occasional travel may be necessary
- Ability to work in the office four days a week, with reasonable flexibility based on business needs
Why Baskervill?
People come to Baskervill because the work matters, they stay because the people matter. That’s why our benefits are designed to support real life, not just work life. That includes:
- Medical, dental, and vision coverage
- Paid parental leave
- A 401(k) with employer match
- Short- and long-term disability coverage
- Paid personal time, paid holidays, and a floating holiday
- Flex spending account
- $64,000 - $95,000 annually depending on experience
