Job Description

The Associate Investment Analyst helps Juvo Ventures (https://juvovc.org/) achieve its strategic objectives by supporting the Senior Investment Team analysis of future investment areas and companies that provide the greatest opportunity and strategic fit within the early-stage technology-enabled ecosystem. The Investment Analyst is a team player, collaborates and works alongside others to achieve the broader company goals and objectives.

*This position will work out of our corporate office in Salt Lake City, Utah.

 

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

In this role, you will partner closely with the Managing Partners to support investment strategy, deal evaluation, market research, and organizational growth initiatives.

• Compile, analyze, and synthesize financial and business information into clear, concise business cases and executive-level presentation materials.
• Analyze financial and operational performance, evaluate market positioning, conduct due diligence on prospective investment opportunities, and develop financial models to assess expected returns.
• Research industries and market niches to identify growth rates, market size, emerging trends, and best practices.
• Prepare investment and marketing materials, including private placement memoranda (PPMs), term sheets, and investor presentations.
• Maintain and track investor commentary, feedback, and interest in target opportunities; monitor market activity to support communications with fund managers and limited partners.
• Assist in developing scalable processes and operational structures to support Juvo's growth from a startup organization to a franchise operation.
• Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Demonstrated interest in venture capital and the technology-enabled education sector.

Preferred Qualifications

• 1-2+ years of relevant professional industry experience.
• Professional experience in consulting, investment banking, venture capital, private equity, corporate development, or a related field.
• Experience working within a fast-growing startup, scale-up, or digital learning organization.
• Experience supporting investment analysis, due diligence, valuation, or transaction execution activities.
• Strong financial modeling and business case development experience.
• Exposure to education technology, SaaS, or other high-growth technology sectors.
  Physical Requirements:
  Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.

This position requires occasional travel of up to 10%, including required attendance at designated company summits (typically one to two per year). Additional travel may include conferences, visits to company locations, and other business-related events as needed. Additional travel may be assigned as needed to support business requirements.
