Description
As Industrial Engineer, you will work close to operations across distribution centres, transport, shipping, and stores. You will diagnose problems, understand the root cause, build the case for change, and lead practical improvements through to implementation.
The role is suited to a self-starting Industrial Engineer who can contribute without extensive training. You will map processes, improve systems and facility flows, support users, analyse data, and help build the Supply Chain capacity required for continued growth.
Profile for Success
- Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering or a closely related discipline.
- Approximately 5–8 years’ post-qualification Industrial Engineering experience, preferably in warehouse, distribution-centre, or Supply Chain environments.
- Demonstrated clothing-retail experience is preferred; strong e-commerce or FMCG experience may transfer when distribution-centre depth is clear.
- Evidence of diagnosing operational problems, identifying solutions, and executing action plans rather than producing analysis only.
- Experience mapping and improving Supply Chain processes, systems, layouts, or facility flows.
- Experience developing business cases and leading projects or improvement initiatives.
- Strong data analysis and advanced Excel or Google Sheets capability.
- Ability to work with limited ramp-up and take ownership in a fast-moving operational environment.
- Willingness to travel and confidence engaging with multiple departments and role players.
- Clear communication, big-picture thinking, resourcefulness, planning, decision-making, and relationship-building ability.
