Hybrid

We believe that through collaboration and connection with our colleagues we can achieve great things. Our hybrid working approach allows our people to work both in the office and at home, providing the flexibility and resources you need to succeed in your role. We don't require you to be in on specific days; instead, we ask people to come into the office 2-3 days each week, for at least 8 days per month. You should work with your line manager to understand what their expectations are for you, your specific role and your team.

What you’ll do

You will provide strategic and practical tax leadership on complex post-completion transaction matters and legacy tax issues. This is a unique opportunity to play a key role in managing significant tax risks, protections and opportunities arising from large-scale corporate transactions and integration activity.

Working within the Tax team, you'll partner closely with Finance, Legal, Group Tax, external advisers and senior business stakeholders to ensure tax matters are understood, governed and progressed through to resolution. You'll bring clarity to complex issues, providing decision-ready analysis and practical recommendations that support business outcomes.

Key accountabilities include

  • Lead tax support for complex post-completion transaction matters and legacy tax issues.
  • Assess and manage tax risks, exposures, protections and opportunities arising from transaction and integration activity.
  • Provide clear, decision-ready analysis and recommendations to senior stakeholders.

  • Strong ability to analyse and explain complex tax issues in a clear and practical way.
  • Experience working with senior stakeholders across Finance, Legal and Tax functions.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to navigate ambiguity and incomplete information.
  • Strong governance and project management capability.
  • Experience reviewing transaction documentation and understanding tax accounting implications.
  • CTA qualification (or equivalent) and degree-level education.
