Job Description

As a Security Officer Full Time Patrol Alarm Response in Canton, MS, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Security Officer supporting a dynamic technology location. You will monitor access points, conduct routine patrols, help to deter security-related incidents, and provide outstanding customer service. Use your communication skills and attention to detail while working with a team that is agile, reliable, innovative, and committed to acting with integrity.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel at a technology, media, and telecommunications location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of the facility, parking areas, loading docks, entry points, and perimeter to help identify and report unusual conditions, unauthorized access, and security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials in accordance with site procedures, and document entries, incidents, and observations in required reports.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and follow established escalation procedures.
• Maintain professional communication with site personnel and Allied Universal leadership while supporting a welcoming, orderly environment.

Minimum Requirements:

• Ability to lift up to 20 lbs is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• X-ray screening experience is preferred.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
