Job Description

As a Security Officer with Active Clearance in State College, PA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As a Security Officer supporting a technology, media, and telecommunications location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and provide outstanding customer service. You will communicate professionally, respond to security-related concerns, and support a welcoming environment. Position Type: Full Time

Pay Rate: $27.00 / Hour

• 21+ Years of Age (C101):All candidates must be at least 21 years old at the time of application. This requirement is in place to ensure compliance with industry regulations and company policies.

• Active DoD Secret Clearance (C103):As part of our hiring process, we would like to remind you that an active Department of Defense (DoD) Secret Clearance is a requirement for this position. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or contractors at a technology research location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established reporting and escalation protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of research facilities, office areas, laboratories, access points, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help identify unusual conditions and help to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access control systems, visitor activity, and security-related equipment; document observations, incidents, and/or maintenance concerns accurately.
• Support the protection of proprietary research, technology assets, and controlled areas by verifying authorized access and following site-specific entry procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess an active DoD Secret Clearance.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
