Location: This role requires associates to be in-office 1-2 days per week, fostering collaboration and connectivity, while providing flexibility to support productivity and work-life balance. This approach combines structured office engagement with the autonomy of virtual work, promoting a dynamic and adaptable workplace. Alternate locations may be considered if candidates reside within a commuting distance from an office.

The Lead Engineer is responsible for full delivery of end-to-end system development and maintenance on medium Enterprise-wide technology platforms, and delivery of application technology solutions and data information planning effort.

 

How you will make an impact: 

• Maintains active relationships with customers to determine business requirements and leads requirements gathering meetings.
•  Leads efforts with Web and marketing team to increase the presence of web products.
•  May implement improvements in stability, performance, and scalability across major business-critical systems.
• May implement process to reduce barriers and roadblocks in projects, services, and processes in order to operate more efficiently.
• Owns the change request process and coordinates with other teams as necessary.
• Develops and owns list of final enhancements.
• Develops and defines application scope and objectives and supervises the preparation of technical and/or functional specifications from with programs will be written.
• Performs technical design reviews and code reviews.
• Ensures unit test is completed and meets the test plan requirements, system testing is completed and system is implemented according to plan.
• Responsible for delivery of application technology solutions and data information planning effort. Coordinates and manages on-call support and owns the system monitoring process.
• Owns the technical development environment and works on the Enterprise team. Leads multiple or large projects and facilitates large group JAD sessions for requirements, modeling in several disciplines.
• Leads vendor evaluation and analysis.
• Creates architectural solutions that articulate the business context, conceptual design, and component-level logical design.  
• Recommends new technologies based upon business value drivers and return on investment
• Drives new technologies towards implementation and exploitation
• Works on infrastructure improvements for the application along with devops & development teams 
• Works with product owners, performance testing team and dev leads to improve application performance and improve security 
• Establishes overall systems architecture vision and ensures specific components are appropriately designed and leveraged
• Contributes to the holistic vision of Enterprise Architecture.  
• Defines architecture standards and anticipate areas where architecture standards may need to be developed that are in-line with customer, IT and industry standards.  
• Directs the construction of architecture components (e.g., data architecture, application architecture, technical architecture).  
• Works with business units to translate business strategy into discrete requirements compatible with current technical architectures.  
• Defines systems, technical, and application architectures for new strategic initiatives; 
• Develops and maintains an architectural blueprint and evolutionary roadmap that defines and communicates 
• the strategic direction for these architectures in support of business and technical strategies.
• Explains how the roadmap maintains and delivers cost effectiveness, business value, and competitiveness. 
• Estimates effort and cost for small to large initiatives.
• Creates MCP tools and AI agents for Agentic ecosystem using Node/Python.
• Build API gateway and AI gateway.
• Build AI based systems such as chatbots & workflow automations.
• Identifies opportunities to leverage AI efficiently and securely and improve team productivity.
• Creates End to End solution architecture for small to large initiatives by collaborating with all necessary teams.

 

 

Minimum Requirements:

Requires an BA/BS degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or related field of study and a minimum of 7 years related experience; multi platform, and multi-dimensional experience required, as well as experience with business and technical applications; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.

 

Preferred Skills, Capabilities, and Experiences:

• Experience mentoring others and providing troubleshooting support is strongly preferred.
• Multi database and/or multi language strongly preferred.

• AWS Certified Solutions Architect is preferred

  Ability to produce physical architecture diagrams and recommend feasible improvements preferred.

• Ability to work with dev team to come up to have a good backlog of tech debt features to improve application preferred.
