Field Supervisor

You are an experienced field leader who takes pride in building work safely, efficiently, and to a high standard. As a Field Supervisor with Ledcor Technical Services, you will support day-to-day field execution on assigned projects, working closely with the Superintendent, HS&E, project teams, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to keep work moving safely and in alignment with project plans, schedules, quality expectations, and Ledcor’s safety standards.
In this role, you will help coordinate field activities, monitor subcontractor performance, participate in daily safety planning, support incident reporting and investigations as required, and help resolve field-level challenges that may impact productivity or project timelines. Your ability to communicate clearly, reinforce safety expectations, and maintain strong working relationships will be key to supporting successful project delivery.

This is a hands-on, site-based leadership opportunity for someone who is organized, accountable, and comfortable balancing safety, quality, production, and stakeholder coordination in a fast-paced construction environment.

Essential Responsibilities:

• Lead day-to-day field activities, ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and in alignment with project plans, schedules, quality standards, and Ledcor safety requirements.

• Promote a strong safety culture through daily hazard assessments, toolbox talks, safe work planning, and support for incident reporting and investigations as needed.

• Monitor field progress, production, locates, restoration plans, and quality requirements to help keep projects on track.

• Supervise subcontractor performance, including safety compliance, schedule commitments, production reporting, and quality of work.

• Build positive working relationships with project teams, subcontractors, clients, municipal representatives, landowners, and other stakeholders.

• Support access coordination, field-level issue resolution, and clear communication with the Superintendent and project team.

• May perform other related duties as assigned.
  

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED required; post-secondary, trade, technical training, industry certification, or equivalent experience is an asset.

• Three or more years of construction experience as a Foreman, Lead Hand, or in a similar field supervisory role.

• Experience in underground construction, telecommunications, utilities, technical services, or a related project environment is preferred.

• Solid understanding of construction practices, drawings/documents, schedules, cost awareness, and quality requirements.

• Strong planning, communication, and problem-solving skills with the ability to work effectively with crews, subcontractors, clients, and project stakeholders.

• Comfortable working on active project sites, walking across varied terrain, and using tools such as a light-duty truck and GPS verification equipment.

• Ability to travel frequently to support project needs.
