Junior Sous Chef – Luxury Country House Hotel

For a Junior Sous Chef ready to broaden their experience, this is a fantastic opportunity to join the kitchen team at a stunning luxury country house hotel in Cumbria. Food is at the heart of this beautiful property, with everything from relaxed brasserie dining and beautifully prepared breakfasts to an acclaimed Michelin-starred restaurant.

Working primarily across prep, breakfast and the brasserie, you’ll gain brilliant exposure to different areas of the hotel’s food operation. You’ll also be surrounded by a talented culinary team and the standards of a Michelin-starred environment, making this an exciting place to learn, develop and take the next step in your career.

Your day-to-day will include:

• Supporting the kitchen team with preparation across the hotel’s food operation
• Helping to deliver high-quality breakfast and brasserie services
• Taking responsibility for your section and maintaining consistently high standards
• Ensuring excellent levels of organisation, preparation and presentation
• Working alongside an experienced brigade in a quality-driven kitchen environment

We’re looking for someone who:

• Has previous Junior Sous Chef or strong Chef De Partie experience
• Comes from a quality fresh-food kitchen background
• Is comfortable working across different sections and styles of service

This is a brilliant role for a chef who wants variety while being surrounded by seriously high culinary standards. You’ll gain experience across a luxury country house hotel operation while learning from a team working at Michelin-starred level.
