Position Summary:
The Senior Business Banker develops and oversees a Business Banking Portfolio. The incumbent is responsible for growing and developing small business relationships by offering deposit services, facilitation of business loans up to $2,000,000, and providing additional services including treasury management. Responsibilities include securing credit approvals, fostering connections with other lines of business, overseeing portfolio management, and ensuring loan compliance by obtaining and analyzing pertinent financial data.
Primary Responsibilities and Duties:
- Actively engage in business development activities to attract profitable new business, typically less than $5million in revenue small business and owner occupied commercial real estate for Everwise.
- Screen and interview applicants to assess their financial needs and perform financial modeling, as needed.
- Gather required information to compile a comprehensive loan package to submit for decisioning.
- Conduct and lead joint calls with MicroLenders, Business Bankers, Treasury Management, and other internal stakeholders and departments for small businesses.
- Actively lead closing of small balance loans with internal and external partners by adhering to proper documentation procedures, obtaining required signatures, and disbursing funds as per approval.
- Proactive administration of loan portfolio, deposit accounts, collections, and associated documentation.
- Provide mentorship to MicroLenders and Business Bankers.
- Actively participate in professional community relationships to enhance Everwise’s visibility and secure new business opportunities.
- Introduce and have working knowledge of additional financial services to enhance member relationships, such as –Commercial, Cash Management, Mortgage, and Retail Services.
- Maintains an in-depth understanding of product offerings and coordinates with other areas to grow the portfolio and deliver excellent service to our members.

- Understand and adhere to government laws, regulations, and Everwise’s policies and procedures concerning Anti-Money Laundering Regulations including but not limited to the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA), US PATRIOT ACT and OFAC.
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, business, related field, or equivalent relevant work experience.
- 4+ years’ experience in financial services with a minimum of 2+ years’ experience in business banking or commercial lending.
- Solid understanding of SBA lending.
- Excellent skills with commercial financial software and Microsoft Office suite.
- Relevant certifications or advanced degrees preferred
