How do we work?
As our Senior Social Media Manager for APAC, you will join our global PR & Social Media Team - collaborating across the UK, Poland, Singapore, and Canada - to drive OANDA’s social presence and regional impact. Reporting directly to the Global Social Media Lead in London, you will act as a strategic growth partner and the "go-to" expert for social strategy, PR, and high-impact content centered on Foreign Exchange (FX) and Indices. Hands-on with end-to-end content and video production, you will leverage deep market insights and channel expertise to transform complex trading narratives into human, engaging conversations that build brand reputation and elevate our footprint across the region.
You will focus primarily on Singapore (70%), Australia (20%), and emerging markets (10%). To align smoothly with APAC business hours, your workday in Warsaw will follow an early schedule starting at 8:00 AM.
We work in a hybrid model - we'd love to meet you in the office 2 times a week with respect to your own commitments.
In this role, you will:
Develop and execute end-to-end social media strategies and content calendars aligned with regional business priorities, product launches, and audience interests.
Lead video and content production roadmaps to showcase platform functionality, demonstrate social proof, and highlight key brand USPs across organic channels.
Build and manage a thought-leadership communication calendar, positioning OANDA as a trusted industry authority across Singapore, Australia, and emerging markets.
Align closely with the Performance Marketing and CRM Teams to support paid distribution strategies and maximize the reach of repurposed content across email and social channels.
Drive local PR initiatives and press releases, collaborating with the Head of PR.
Partner with cross-functional internal stakeholders to maintain a steady production pipeline of creative assets and ensure message consistency.
Monitor channel performance and audience feedback to continuously optimize engagement, protect brand reputation, and refine future social media campaigns.
What skillset do you need to be successful in this role?
Proven experience scaling organic social media presence and managing active communities, including client review sites and online reputation platforms.
A keen eye for social media trends and brand identity, knowing how a modern, premium brand should show up and engage across evolving channels.
Hands-on expertise in content and video production (editing, static graphics, and a confident on-camera presence), with a strong eye for visual storytelling.
Strong communications skills with proactive media outreach.
Excellent English copywriting skills, with meticulous attention to detail and a clear, human voice across digital channels.
Understanding of SEO basics and paid social media distribution strategy.
Good organizational and cross-functional stakeholder management abilities, comfortable juggling multiple creative pipelines in a fast-paced environment.
Nice to have:
Understanding of financial markets (FX & Indices) and how retail traders operate; previous roles in financial services, trading, or fintech sectors.
Experience with social media management platforms e.g., Sprout Social, Hootsuite, Talkwalker.
Familiarity with project management tools (e.g., Jira/Atlassian, Asana, Trello) and CMS platforms (e.g., Wagtail, WordPress).
