A Day in the Life
We are seeking a highly motivated Senior Financial Analyst - Service & Repair EMEA to join our team in the Netherlands. Engaged with a strategic mindset, this position will play a critical role in supporting financial analysis and reporting, leadership decision support, and cross-functional partnership. This position reports to the Senior Finance Manager S&R in EMEA and is ideal for someone who enjoys solving complex problems, shaping strategy, and partnering closely with senior leaders to influence meaningful business outcomes.In this highly visible role, you’ll act as a trusted finance partner to Service & Repair leadership, providing data driven insights that support growth, efficiency, and long term value creation across the EMEA region. As a Senior Financial Analyst, you will partner with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate financial results, support margin optimization, and help drive Medtronic's digital finance agenda within the Service and Repair organization. You’ll work closely with financial and operational leaders, translating complex financial data into clear, actionable insights that help the business perform at its best.
Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned:
- Support core FP&A processes including the Annual Operating Plan, Strategic Plan, and recurring forecast cycles.
- Partner with the OU FP&A teams, you align analysis and reporting, manage calendars and timelines, as well as ad-hoc requests and projects as directed and you participate in month-end close activities, including journals, reconciliations, and supporting schedules.
- Prepare and deliver executive level presentations for monthly operating reviews, quarterly business reviews, and ad hoc leadership updates, snsure compliance with financial governance, internal controls, and reporting standards across regions.
- Collaborate with the OU FP&A teams, this role aligns reporting mechanisms, calendar/timelines, as well as supports ad-hoc requests.
- Serve as the finance partner to the EMEA Service & Repair leadership team, providing insights into cost, margins and productivity and participate or lead cross functional projects and initiatives, ensuring delivery in line with organizational standards.
- Process improvement mindset and putting into practice innovative ways to drive efficiency.
- Leverage available technology (OneStream, Power BI, Copilot, AI), this role will establish operating mechanisms and share best practices across the broader team and drive continuous improvement in financial processes, reporting, and analytical tools.
Required Knowledge and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting combined with 4 years of experience supporting Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A): Support with financial planning, forecasting, and expense reporting
- Fluent in English
- Expertise in leveraging systems and data for insightful analysis and strong organizational and time-management skills; adept at multitasking and adapting to shifting priorities
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Power Query, PowerPoint, Word), Copilot & AI user and preferably basic proficiency in SQL
- Excellent problem solving skills, with a track record of improving processes or systems and strong communication and influencing skills, comfortable engaging with senior stakeholders
- Demonstrated leadership capability, including coaching, mentoring, or guiding others and ability to standardize work processes and procedures
Experience with project management methodologies, knowledge of GAAP and Medtronic accounting policies, background in business performance analysis or commercial finance. ability to drive innovation and continuous improvement, comfort working in ambiguous, matrixed environments and strong storytelling skills through impactful reports and financial insights are considered advantages for this role.
