Description
The incumbent is responsible for performing general records maintenance and data entry.

- Provide good customer service to both internal and external customers; maintain positive and effective working relationships with other City employees (especially members of their own team), and have regular and reliable attendance that is non-disruptive.
- Respond to requests for information; audits and validates files and records to ensure responses are accurate, complete, and timely; ensures compliance with all applicable state, federal, local statutes, guidelines, laws, policies, procedures, and regulations.
- Complete all FOIA requests for Springdale Communications digital data.
- Complete all FOIA requests for audio, video, and documents related to police records.
- Collect any required fees associated with request(s).
- Attend seminars, training, special conferences and meetings to stay informed of current practices and changes related to FOIA.
- Receive and finalize reports of crime from the public and officers within the department to meet NIBRS compliance standards.
- Provide quality customer service to the public and employees in person, by phone, email, and mail.
- Transcribe and enter reports into Police Records Management System (RMS).
- Maintain NIBRS compliance.
- Answer phones and assist with the general public in the lobby.
- Receive and process cash payments.
- Receive and enter accident reports, arrests, citations, other general forms.
- Compile statistical data as requested; assist with crime analysis processes as assigned.
- Work with local prosecutors, courts, and other agencies when requests for information are received.
- Enter warrants for wanted persons into the Arkansas Crime Information Center (ACIC) and National Crime Information Center (NCIC) databases, as well as the records management system.
- Perform other duties as required or assigned.
- High school diploma or GED and 7-11 months of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- ACIC Level I and II or CJIS Certification.
- The incumbent must be proficient in the use of personal computer, Microsoft Office Suite, HTE AS400, Tyler/New World RMS, ACIC/NCIC database, and standard office equipment.
- Ability to utilize both internal and external resources to obtain information and data necessary to carry out routine assignments and special projects.
- Must have ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with management and staff.
- Must be able to withstand a complete background investigation, polygraph examination, and drug screening(s).
