Finance & Control department in Circle K Business Centre in Riga, Latvia is a part of Global Finance organization and responsible for full accounting and financial reporting cycle for Circle K European operations. Circle K Business Centre in Riga, Latvia is looking for a new team player, who would like to join our team as:

Accountant

Type of Employment: Temporary position for 1 year

Location: Riga, Latvia 

Visa requirements: A valid work permit from the EU/EEA (relocation assistance is not provided) 

WHAT YOU'LL DO 

• Respond to queries from site managers, representatives of business units (BU) and/or external partners if required;

• Check, prepare and process journal entries, based on information received from BU and other partners;

• Answer questions from other Company units on processed financial records;

• Perform periodical closing procedures;

• Perform balance sheet account reconciliation and analysis, resolve discrepancies and errors;

• Handle audit requests;

• Contribute to process improvement projects.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED 

• University/College degree in accounting, economics or finance field;

• Previous experience in accounting, finance or audit field;

• Excellent knowledge of MS Office and willingness to learn new systems;

• Excellent organizing abilities and attention to details;

• Ability to work independently;

• Ability to analyze things, and conduct investigations on discrepancies;

• Fluent English language skills to communicate with colleagues in Europe.
