Pay varies by position and is based on multiple factors including labor market data and, depending on position, may include education, work experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, and/or certifications. Additionally, Sportech takes into account the internal equity of current employees when considering compensation. Sportech’s reasonable and good-faith estimate for the range of new hire compensation at the time of posting for this position is between $110,000- $125,000 annually. Pay may also include variable compensation from time to time such as overtime for non-exempt positions, shift differential for specific shifts, and/or bonus targets (subject to plan eligibility and other requirements).
Job Summary
The Sr. IT Business Systems Analyst is responsible for partnering with the organization to analyze business processes, translate operational needs into system requirements, and support effective use of enterprise applications across the Company. This role serves as a key connection between business users and technical resources, helping document current and future-state workflows, configure systems to support operational processes, troubleshoot data and integration issues, and lead testing, training, and deployment activities.
Essential Job Functions
Process Analysis & Optimization
- Map Workflows: Document "as-is" and design "to-be" workflows for production, supply chain, and warehouse operations.
- Gather Requirements: Partner with all areas of the business including production operations, procurement, sales, finance and accounting, and human resources to translate operational challenges into technical solutions.
- Bridge Communication: Serve as the primary liaison between operations teams and technical developers.
Technical System Configuration
- System Configuration: Perform hands-on configuration of our core enterprise applications to align software logic with physical plant workflows, sales and service processes, and business support needs.
- Data Integration: Troubleshoot and optimize data flows between manufacturing execution software, inventory tools, and shipping systems.
- Testing & Validation: Lead User Acceptance Testing (UAT) cycles, creating test scripts and validating features with end users.
Training & Deployment
- Change Management: Develop clear user documentation, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and training guides.
- Onsite Support: Support end-users during system rollouts on the production floor to ensure smooth adoption.
Requirements
- Experience: 5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst or Systems Analyst.
- Industry: At least 2 years of direct experience working within a manufacturing or heavy production environment.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
- ERP/MES Systems: Proven experience configuring or heavily administering enterprise platforms (such as Epicor, SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, or Plex).
- Process Modeling: Proficiency in mapping tools like Microsoft Visio, Lucidchart, or Signavio using BPMN standards.
- Data Tools: Solid command of SQL for data extraction, troubleshooting, and validation, along with exposure to Power BI or Tableau.
- Manufacturing Concepts: Strong understanding of Bill of Materials (BOM), inventory control (JIT, FIFO), Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), and Lean manufacturing principles.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear, practical language for non-technical audiences.
