NaphCare is hiring an experienced Full time Assistant Mental Health Director (LMHC, LCSW, LMFT) to assist in leading, directing, managing, and evaluating mental health services at the Hillsborough County Jail in Tampa, FL. The Assistant Mental Health Director works under the direct supervision of the Mental Health Director, Health Services Administrator, site Medical Director, and Corporate Mental Health Director.

Position Description:
- Hold and maintain a current, unrestricted license (LCSW, LMHC, LMFT) for Florida
- Valid AHA BLS CPR card
- Minimum of 3 years’ clinical experience in a mental health care setting
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in management and correctional healthcare preferred
- Knowledge and experience in the identification and treatment of mental health and co-occurring substance abuse disorders, discharge planning, principles of social work, basic principles of individual and group behavior, suicide risk assessment, crisis de-escalation techniques
- Coordinate, lead and participate in educational and training activities related to mental health care for patients
- Evaluate patients in a variety of settings
- Perform and document mental health evaluations
- Facilitate patient treatment to include admission and discharge from the mental health unit, housing change requests, seclusion, suicide precautions, close observation, and observation level changes
- DSM-V
- Coach and collaborate with site mental health clinical staff
- Ensure all mental health clinicians are educated
- Work cooperatively with all psychiatric providers
- Assist with recruiting efforts for mental health staff
