About the Role

The NOC Manager – Offshore is responsible for overseeing the continuous, efficient, and secure network operations by Opticore’s offshore NOC team in The Philippines. This role is crucial in ensuring optimal performance, reliability, and availability of our managed service customer networks. The NOC Manager - Offshore is responsible managing and driving demand through a team of offshore engineers, ensuring that they meet performance targets and contribute effectively to the organisation's goals. This role involves direct supervision, performance management, delivery and professional development of team members, while fostering a positive and productive work environment. 
 

What You’ll Do (Duties and Responsibilities)

Network Monitoring and Management
  • Oversee 24/7 monitoring of network infrastructure, ensuring real-time detection and resolution of issues
  • Implement and maintain monitoring tools and systems to ensure network health and performance
  • Develop and enforce standard operating procedures for network operations
Problem Solving and Decision Making
  • Address and resolve any issues or conflicts that arise within the offshore team
  • Make informed decisions to support the offshore team’s objectives and overall organizational goals
  • Encourage team members to contribute ideas and participate in problem-solving
Team Leadership and Supervision
  • Provide leadership and supervision to offshore team members
  • Ensure that offshore team members understand their roles and responsibilities and have the resources needed to perform their tasks
  • Create a motivating work environment and encourage teamwork and collaboration
Performance Management
  • Set clear performance goals and objectives for offshore team members
  • Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback
  • Address performance issues promptly and develop performance improvement plans when necessary.
  • Recognize and reward high performance
Professional Development
  • Identify training and development needs for offshore team members
  • Provide opportunities for skill development and career progression
  • Mentor and coach offshore team members to help them achieve their full potential
  • Support team members in setting and achieving their professional goals
Work Planning and Coordination
  • Develop and implement work plans and offshore schedules to ensure timely and efficient completion of tasks
  • Allocate resources effectively to meet operational requirements
  • Monitor progress and make adjustments as necessary to stay on track with goals and deadlines
  • Coordinate activities with other departments and teams as needed
Performance and Optimisation
  • Analyse network performance data to identify trends, bottlenecks, and areas for improvement
  • Implement optimization strategies to enhance network efficiency and reliability
