Job Description

As a Security Officer - N Twin City Highway in Nederland, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. As an Access Control Officer at a chemical/petrochemical location, you will help manage entry points, verify credentials, monitor access activity, and support a secure environment for employees, visitors, and operations. This driving post requires a valid driver’s license in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to personnel, contractors, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, access-control requirements, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities at a chemical/petrochemical location.
• Control access to the facility by verifying identification, credentials, visitor authorizations, and contractor documentation in accordance with site requirements.
• Monitor entry and exit points, vehicle traffic, alarms, and access-control systems; maintain accurate logs and promptly report irregularities to appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas, gates, parking areas, and the perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify conditions requiring attention.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
