Shift Planner

CLS Production Planning

Job Description

Introduction

ASML brings together the most creative minds in science and technology to develop lithography machines that are key to producing faster, cheaper, more energy-efficient microchips. We design, develop, integrate, market and service these advanced machines, which enable our customers - the world’s leading chipmakers - to reduce the size and increase the functionality of their microchips, which in turn leads to smaller, more powerful consumer electronics. Our main headquarters is located in Veldhoven, the Netherlands, and we also have 18 office locations around the United States- including main offices in Wilton, CT, Chandler, AZ, San Jose, CA and San Diego, CA.

As a Shift Planner at ASML, you will help keep our manufacturing operations running smoothly. Your work ensures that critical materials move efficiently into, through, and out of the cleanroom. In this role, you will collaborate across Production Logistics, Production Planning, Material Handling, and Manufacturing to maintain flow and remove obstacles that could slow down progress. The Shift Planner is key to keeping our factory teams productive and aligned.

Role and Responsibilities

As a Shift Planner, you coordinate daily production activities and ensure materials arrive where and when they are needed. You monitor work in progress, maintain communication with planning and logistics teams, and help solve issues that could delay production. You also support improvement initiatives and help keep inventory data accurate. In this role, you contribute directly to operational stability and build readiness.

  • Support daily execution of the production plan in consultation with Production Planning.

  • Monitor work orders in progress and confirm that logistics needs are met on time.

  • Manage expedited movement of materials from the warehouse to the cleanroom.

  • Review completed work orders to validate material usage.

  • Join daily meetings to review the build plan and address risks.

  • Troubleshoot logistics issues that could disrupt manufacturing and share prevention ideas.

  • Communicate production concerns and escalate critical blocks when needed.

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, logistics, industrial engineering, business, or a related field; or equivalent years of relevant work experience.

  • Minimum of two years of relevant business experience required. Experience in a complex or high‑volume production environment preferred.

  • Understanding of planning and production concepts such as material requirements planning, just‑in‑time, and lean principles preferred.

  • Experience using enterprise resource planning systems such as ORACLE a plus.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Teams, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Skills

Working at the cutting edge of tech, you’ll always have new challenges and new problems to solve – and working together is the only way to do that. You won’t work in a silo. Instead, you’ll be part of a creative, dynamic work environment where you’ll collaborate with supportive colleagues. There is always space for creative and unique points of view. You’ll have the flexibility and trust to choose how best to tackle tasks and solve problems. To thrive in this job, you’ll need the following skills:

  • Communicate clearly and professionally across teams.

  • Collaborate with colleagues and contribute to team goals.

  • Stay organized and manage tasks in a fast‑paced environment.

  • Act proactively to prevent delays or errors.

  • Analyze issues and recommend practical solutions.

  • Take ownership of assigned tasks and follow them to completion.

  • Adapt quickly to new information or changes in priorities.

  • Solve problems creatively and with persistence.

  • Provide helpful, service‑oriented support to factory teams.

  • Maintain focus while working with cutting‑edge technology.
