We are seeking a strategic, hands-on, and results-driven Director, Operations to lead our Fort Worth, TX facility and help drive the next phase of operational excellence.

What You’ll Do

As a Manufacturing Engineer II, you will independently design, improve, and own manufacturing processes or defined production areas. This role focuses on translating product and operational requirements into stable, repeatable, and cost-effective manufacturing methods while balancing safety, quality, throughput, labor efficiency, and cost. You will lead process improvements, optimize layouts and workflows, support capital equipment selection and justification, and validate launches or engineering changes through production. Working closely with Operations, Quality, Maintenance, Automation, and Engineering, you will apply Lean and continuous improvement tools to strengthen process capability, reduce waste, and improve overall manufacturing performance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support CAPEX development by assisting with business cases, project scope definition, equipment requirements, cost estimates, justification inputs, and implementation planning

  • Participate in CAPEX execution by coordinating with Operations, Maintenance, Automation, vendors, and contractors to support equipment installation, commissioning, startup, and production readiness

  • Analyze manufacturing processes, layouts, material flow, labor utilization, scrap, rework, downtime, and bottlenecks to identify and prioritize improvement opportunities

  • Lead or support process improvement initiatives that improve safety, quality, throughput, labor efficiency, cost, and process stability within assigned production areas

  • Develop and maintain standard work, process documentation, work methods, layouts, control plans, and manufacturing standards to support consistent execution

  • Provide day-to-day engineering support to Operations by troubleshooting production issues, evaluating root causes, implementing corrective actions, and helping sustain process performance

  • Support new product launches, engineering changes, tooling changes, equipment trials, and process validations through production stabilization

  • Provide post-automation support by monitoring performance after implementation, validating expected benefits, resolving process-related issues, updating documentation, and supporting operator adoption

  • Apply Lean and continuous improvement tools such as 5S, value stream analysis, waste reduction, root cause analysis, line balancing, and standard work to improve manufacturing performance

What You’ll Need

  • Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing, Industrial, Mechanical, or related Engineering field preferred

  • 3+ years of relevant manufacturing engineering, process engineering, project support, or production support experience

  • Experience supporting CAPEX development and execution, including scope definition, equipment requirements, cost estimates, justification inputs, installation, commissioning, startup, and production readiness

  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, production systems, equipment, tooling, layouts, material flow, work methods, and process documentation

  • Working knowledge of Lean manufacturing, continuous improvement, root cause analysis, waste reduction, line balancing, standard work, and process improvement methods

  • Ability to use production data, time studies, scrap, rework, downtime, cycle time, labor utilization, and bottleneck analysis to identify and prioritize improvement opportunities

  • Ability to provide hands-on Operations and post-automation support by troubleshooting process issues, validating performance, documenting changes, supporting operator adoption, and sustaining results

  • Sound engineering judgment, strong communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills across Operations, Quality, Maintenance, Automation, Engineering, vendors, contractors, and leadership teams

  • Experience supporting CAPEX development and execution for manufacturing equipment, process improvements, or production readiness

  • Proven ability to improve safety, quality, throughput, labor efficiency, cost, scrap, downtime, or bottlenecks

  • Hands-on Operations support experience, including troubleshooting, root cause analysis, corrective actions, and process stabilization

  • Experience supporting automation after launch through performance validation, documentation, issue resolution, and operator adoption

  • Practical knowledge of sheet metal fabrication, HVAC manufacturing, high-mix production, tooling, material flow, or production equipment

  • Lean, Six Sigma, project management, or continuous improvement certification, or equivalent practical experience

What You’ll Gain

You will join a team where your contributions can make a visible difference. In addition, eligible employees may receive:

  • Competitive compensation aligned with the role, experience, and location.

  • Medical, dental, prescription, and vision coverage.

  • A 401(k) plan with company match.

  • Opportunities to learn, build new skills, and contribute to meaningful business results.

Following receipt of a conditional offer of employment, candidates will be required to complete additional job-related screening processes as permitted or required by applicable law.

We are an equal opportunity employer, and all applicants will be considered for employment without attention to their membership in any protected class.
