Kitchen Lead Cook-Aspire Lounge
Location: Aspire Lounge, Newcastle Airport
Position: Full-Time
You will be required to provide 5 years references from the UK.
Aspire Lounge is known for delivering a calm, premium experience for travellers, and our food offering is a huge part of that. We’re looking for a confident and motivated Kitchen Lead Cook to take charge of daily kitchen operations and help us deliver consistently high‑quality dishes to our guests.
This is a hands-on role for someone who loves cooking, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and takes pride in leading by example.
Responsibilities
Lead the day-to-day running of the kitchen, ensuring smooth service throughout the day
Prepare, cook, and present high-quality dishes in line with Aspire Lounge standards
Oversee food safety, hygiene, and cleanliness at all times
Support and guide kitchen assistants, helping to train and motivate the team
Manage stock levels, deliveries, and waste reduction
Work closely with Lounge Management to maintain menu quality and consistency
Ensure all dietary requirements and allergen procedures are followed correctly
Qualifications
Previous experience as a cook or chef, ideally in a high-volume or hospitality environment
Strong leadership skills with the ability to support and inspire others
Excellent knowledge of food safety and kitchen best practices
A calm, organised approach—even during busy periods
Passion for delivering great food and a great guest experience
Reliability, professionalism, and a positive attitude
