Nuclear Medicine Technologist II

Hourly Pay Range:

$37.47 - $58.08 - The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate's expertise and years of experience, among other factors.

Position Highlights:

• Position: Nuclear Medicine Technologist

• Location: Elmhurst Memorial Hospital, Elmhurst IL

• Full Time, 40 hours

• Hours: Monday-Friday, 0700 - 330pm, on-call schedule, rotating weekends, and holidays

What you will do:

Prepares, measures, and administers radiopharmaceuticals in diagnostic and therapeutic studies, according to Radiologist’s directions/protocols, utilizing a variety of equipment and following prescribed procedures. Delivers and ensures customer service in all aspects to job, being attentive of eye contact, facial/body expressions and tone of voice. Explains procedure to patient, giving opportunity for questions to reduce anxiety and promote trust.

What you will need:

• A minimum of an Associate’s Degree or higher, required

• IEMA (Illinois Emergency Management Agency) licensure

• ARRT (R) (American Registry of Radiological Technology) (Nuclear Medicine) or (CNMT) (Certified Nuclear Medical Technology) certification. Must successfully complete certification exam and be registered by the end of the IEMA temporary license expiration.

• Current CPR Certification (BLS) issued by American Heart Association

• Preferred: Prior Nuclear Medicine and PET (Positive Emission Tomography) experience

• Attention to detail: must possess the ability to meticulously follow protocols and ensure the accuracy in the administration of radiopharmaceuticals.
